“This item is being listed as non-working/for parts simply because some of the pads are not as responsive as they should be (most notably the RIM pad & the # 6, 8, 9 & left arrow on the number pads. However, you can still get around and create within this machine with ease.
I am not by any means an expert in these machines but having owned an E-MU SP 1200 (the pads are similar) possibly the pads may just need to have the contacts cleaned. This machine fires up without any issues. All the outputs are working properly and sounds amazing. The faceplate has a few blemishes but still shows rather nicely. “For your consideration, we have a serviced LinnDrum LM-2 that includes the midi upgrade, installed by J.L. Cooper. The unit comes from a private studio of a colleague of ours who uséd in on many recordings. It had not been uséd for some time, so we did a deep clean on the unit, and then ran the unit. It worked, but there were some sounds that were not working, and some of the pots and faders needed cleaning. So, first off we checked all pots and faders, and serviced them. All socketed chip contacts were cleaned. As mentioned, there were several sounds not working, which we traced to faulty microchip U87. We installed a socket and new chip, which solved the issues. The unit’s power supply was fully recapped, and a new battery tray with rechargeable batteries were installed on the auxiliary board. The original side panels showed some wear, so we fabricated new ones. The unit is now fully functional again, and needs to be put to work by the next owner.
The unit has 11 Zif quick-change adapters installed on the board sockets to facilitate swapping eProm sound chips for the following sounds:
Conga 1, Conga 2, Tom 1, Tom 2, Sidestick, Snare, Tambourine, Cabasa, Claps, Cowbell, and Bass
Physically the unit is in very good condition for its age. There are some light scratches on top, and some spots and blemishes, but no dents or signs of abuse. Overall the unit presents itself very well. See pictures for further details on the inside, and outside of the unit.
We don’t have the original box for this unit, but we take packaging and shipping seriously. We spare no expense and use heavy duty boxes, several inches of polyethylene foam on all sides of the unit, and use water activated, fiber reinforced tape on all seams.” Click here to visit listing on eBay

Working KORG POLY-61 Vintage 1980’s Synthesizer Keyboard
I have had this a long long time, and over the years it has seen more action than Axel Rose.
Over the years I have had hard Red Oak sides put on, as the chipboard that was originally there was just falling to bits as they all do.
I have not used it for over a year, but it is fully functioning. Just needs some switch cleaner in the volume knob as it is a little scratchy when turned. With time and use this should dissipate.
Also, where the modulation/Pitch bend joystick is, the panel does move a bit. It has done this since the sides were replaced but it does not affect playing or using of the joystick. It could use some shorter screws in it I think. Just never bothered with it as it did not detract from its use. Just thought I would mention it as someone may want to fix that.

“This Synth was given to me from my uncle and served its purpose introducing me to playing keyboard and modulating voices.
There is only one real malfunction with this synth and that would be the bottom key.
That key works but only if pressed really hard.
Aside from the bottom key everything works just fine.
Its a great little synth that has some unique voices and great modulating capabilities.
