“Purchased at a local estate sale. Took it home and plugged it into an amp. It seems to function well, although a few of the upper keys seemed a little touchy , meaning that I didn’t hear anything, and then pressed it again and heard it, sometimes going in and out. Not sure what that means. There is also one of the middle keys which is raised a little more than the others. Maybe something under it. Just can’t see anything with a flashlight. I am not at all knowledgeable about this type of thing, so I am trying to describe to the best of my knowledge. There are a flew blemishes on the sides as well as the base of the synthesizer, as I showed in some of the photos. One more thing, is that the power cord has electrical tape in a number of places. It seems pretty secure though. I plugged it in, and it worked fine. I did see photos of other identical synthesizers , and it looks like a few stickers are missing . “I am selling this Keyboard for a friends wife. He suddenly passed away two weeks ago. She has bills, rent everything coming up. I’m trying to help her, I don’t really know her. I just knew her husband.

Anyhow, I’m selling a Prophet 2000 SEQUENTIAL Keyboard. I just plugged it in, it lights up. I do not know how to work any of the controls. I plugged it into an amplifier and I got some sounds. I don’t know how to play keyboard at all or I don’t know how to program it at all.

Therefore I’m selling it as is. This was his working rig. So hopefully it will work okay. It has two small toggle switches on the back, I believe they will need attention. They are both kind of wobbly.

I am not by any means an expert in these machines but having owned an E-MU SP 1200 (the pads are similar) possibly the pads may just need to have the contacts cleaned. This machine fires up without any issues. All the outputs are working properly and sounds amazing. The faceplate has a few blemishes but still shows rather nicely. I have owned it snce 1982 and have recently cleaned it inside and out. The Keyboard is quite clacky and suffers from re-triggers but its 40 odd years old.
