” The synth was acquired as part of a collection of instruments, I am not a synth player myself but can confirm that it is fully working having had the item repaired. It appears in relatively good cosmetic condition considering its age. There is some discolouration as can be seen in the photos (see the pitch bend / modulation wheels) and one slider cap is missing (Decay).
The synthesizer has just been fully serviced following an issue where no sound was output. The engineer explained that there were a number of ‘cold’ solder joints that needed re-flowing and the moving components were in general need of being cleaned using electrical contact cleaner. “1978 Micromoog in great cosmetic condition but has some functional issues. This was part of a large studio buyout. They had it in a “C” room, not in storage. Its been tested slightly.. not tested in depth.
All keys played / triggered good and pitch was stable.. was able to make a killer bass and lead sound!
BUT Audio was only emitted when the last BYPASS switch was engaged.. i believe that switch bypasses the Envelope section? Not sure.. anyhow, that should be looked at. Also Mod wheel seemed off.. not engaging proper.

“I am looking to find a new home for my enhanced hybrid early production MiniMoog from 1972.
HISTORY
I am the 2nd owner and bought it in 1985 from Octaphonics Studio who liked to restore these, since at that time, a lot of these units were toured and some did not survive as well as others.
This MiniMoog is made up of the best parts of 3 different minimoogs all from 1972.
– The faceplate and keyboard coming from one.
– The circuit boards from another
– the metal housing from the 3rd.
This was the state of the mini as I purchased it In 1985.
As such there is no actual SR# and has been obscured. But the serial numbers on the circuit boards are ,1643, 1650 and 1713. So this seems to be a fairly low numbered time frame. ”

“Moog Opus 3 keyboard circa 1980.
I have had this keyboard for about 30 years for most of that time in an attic.
There are a few sliders missing but these are available.
The D# makes a slightly weird and same note for each octave. I have read this is common problem that can be sorted.
The right hand side panel is loose and needs to be properly fixed together with a small block beside the rightmost key.

Vintage/classic 1970’s Moog Prodigy synthesizer.
32-key mono-analog synthesizer.
Tested and working.
Mains, 220 VAC, UK, 3-pin IEC socket.
The keys are in excellent condition, but the body has wear and tear here and there.
Wood end panels and other wood parts can be re-varnished.
The switches and turn signals are all intact. Some spinning discs require internal cleaning as some noise is noticeable when spinning at certain speeds.
Rear panel connectors for connecting external keyboard, oscillator, VCF and sync + specially installed 3.5mm jack. This is a V Trig/Gate to S Trig converter.
Note. I don’t have any spare jumper cables or power cords, although they are all mostly the standard type.
The device was stored in a dry place for some time as it was no longer in use.”

I’ve done some maintenance (new ribbon controller, some ICs, contact cleaning) over the years, and have kept it well-stored inside my home the entire time. “Own a piece of history – the Moog Sonic 6 – and also my first ever synthesizer! It comes in its own suitcase with a power cord and the original manual. As noted in the condition description, this synth has multiple issues. Most importantly, the keys, particularly in the higher registers, do not consistently trigger the sound. The video demos some sound generation and also the key tracking glitches. Also note that the pitch isn’t steady after a while, noticeable when you use both oscillators, which you will most of the time.
Lots of knobs and sliders to twiddle with, sculpting the sound. Truly an OG experience.

“This is an original 1976 (23 Aug 1976 shown on the label) Moog 912 Envelope Follower module. It was taken out of a full Moog Modular system back in 1993 when I rebuilt a musician’s Moog modular system into a new large cabinet. This was the module that he decided to remove to make space for a different module. As far as I know the 912 was fully working when it was removed and I currently have no way to test it.

No mods
Made in the United States Features two Voltage Controlled Oscillators (VCOs), one with a sawtooth waveform, a triangle waveform, and a pulse waveform, the second with a sawtooth, a triangle, and a square waveform. These waveforms can be detuned up or down by more than a fifth, allowing for the creation of thick pads as well as atonal sounds. The two oscillators can be synchronized as well, then altered using the pitch wheel (in sync mode, the pitch wheel would alter the tonality of the sound, not the pitch. The Prodigy is capable of making some very cool sounds and is a lot of fun to play. I’ve enjoyed the two I’ve owned. This is an original with no mods. This was used during the British Invasion in the ’80’s. Bands are using them again because the Prodigy is so cool! I also have a new Peavey cable for plugging into an amp and the black dust cover.
