“I’ve been downsizing my synth collection over the last few months because we have a baby on the way. I really hate parting with any of my gear but I’m not starting a fight with the wife over it so here’s a classic! The unit works great. Cosmetically it does have a few flaws but nothing I would call drastic. The top right screw mount for the rack has a slight bend in it (refer to pictures) and there’s a few scratches here and there. This unit isn’t very common anymore and most ship from Japan which isn’t the case here.
This unit was never used to gig out. I bought it brand new back in early 2001. It’s been in my home studio and hasn’t really left other than to bring it over to a friend’s house to show it off. This unit is very powerful, kind of like a MicroKorg on steroids. I hope whoever purchases it gets as much joy out of it as I did over the years. “Here we have a pretty special set up. I am the second owner of this ASR, first owner was a Blue Grass musician who only used it basically as a midi keyboard. It has a few light scrapes, bumps, the signs of wear you’d expect to see on a machine of this age but overall is pretty darn sweet. Device works entirely as it should.

“The Korg Polysix is an all-time classic, highly-sought after analog synthesizer. This unit is clean and in great condition, with no broken or missing keys or buttons. It does power on – however, it suffers from the same problem that nearly every Polysix was affected by, which is that the battery on the KLM-367A board leaked and damaged nearby traces and components. This synthesizer did function when I first acquired it in the early 2000s. However, at some point the battery issue did cause it to cease working properly.
Repair was attempted on this synth: The leaky battery was removed and a new battery as well as IC chip and socket were installed. However, that didn’t solve the problem. Someone knowledgable about this issue should be able to repair this keyboard, or install a new KLM-367A board and have themselves a wonderful vintage analog synth.”
