PLEASE NOTE that this synth has a short in the DC adapter connection. If you push down once on the connection just slightly, it maintains power without a problem even while playing vigorously. It has been this way for many years and has always worked (but buyer beware, of course).
I have not tested the battery power but there is some rust residue in this area.
