Picked these up and they were supposed to be both working. At first I thought this might be true because the first one I tried does make sound normally, but as I tested them more I realized they are both broken. NOTE: I had these in storage for a bit and when taken out I noticed they still have a smell of smoke from previous owner. I’ll try to wipe them down but keep in mind it may take more than that to get rid of the smell. Also—they both share a weird custom power supply which seems to work fine but uses what appears to be a midi cable connection?? Very mysterious but it works.
Synth 1: all controls and buttons work and makes noise Except the second DCO does not work, the noise control also doesn’t work, but interestingly some presets will have noise added but it’s usually too loud, and just sounds a bit weird or sloppy. As is can get many tones out of it, but only 1 DCO per voice. Filters and stuff work with no issue.
Synth 2: turns on and seems to respond to all buttons on the screen but can’t hear any noise at all. Also has two keys which stick up as seen in pictures.
Cool sounding synth, I wish they worked but as is I don’t know what to do with them.”
