“Up for sale is a Roland JD-800 Synthesizer. The classic Roland JD-800, from an era (the early ’90s) when the analog revival had already started, and Roland implemented a digital synthesizer with analog-style controls. The sound is classic late 80s/’early 90s Roland – crystalline, powerful, with quality effects. The patches feature some great evolving pads, powerful basses, moody electric pianos. quasi-analog brass, lush strings, and much more. The JD800 can be expanded via PCM and Data Cards.
Originally purchased from an Ebayer in Japan, who had completely gone through this synth with a fine tooth comb. The infamous red glue issue was repaired and a brand new key contact strip was laid down, all red glue removed from the keys, and all weights were epoxied back into the keys. I attached a photo to show that. All sliders were completely gone through and cleaned as well and they slide like they would have when it was originally selling at music stores. All touch tact switches were replaced too. When it arrived in the US I went inside and de soldered the leads on the transformer from the Japan 100v and soldered to the US standard of 120v, eliminating the need for a step down converter. There is zero scratches, blemishes, or dings on the metal chassis and plastic parts. Bottom panel is flawless other then the shadow from the keyboard stand it was on and has been meticulously cared for including dust covers when not in use as well as being in a smoke free environment. Due to the size and weight of this synth please allow one additional day for packaging before shipping.”
