There are couple sounds that are distinct and you can hear them on the early Gorillaz album Demon Days. The ONLY thing wrong with this – there are 3 voices out of the 30 total that do not work — it is in the “Wood” button patch and its the Clarinet, Flute, and Recorder. “My lovingly restored ARP Axxe.

I bought this synth a year or so ago and have since spent many hours restoring it to a high standard.I have disassembled it and then cleaned every part before re assembly.

Here is a list of some of the work I have done on it.

1. Removed, stripped and cleaned each of the slide potentiometers.
2. Replaced all of the keyboard bushings. Cleaned the bus bars and key contacts.
3. Replaced all of the capacitors on the power supply and any tantalum capacitors on the main board.
4. Modified the filter board to correct the factory filter resonance range issue.

Although I have cleaned and lubricated the slider pots they are not perfect. They all do their job but may not be as smooth as they were when new and there is the odd crackle when some are moved.The original slider caps were in a bad way and some were missing so I have used some orange soft plastic covers. They are actually screw thread protectors and you can buy them in all sorts of colours.

I have tested all the CV and gate inputs and outputs and they work as well.I will also include the very rare owners manual and patch sheets. A new mains lead will also be included. ” Click here to visit listing on eBay

E-mu Emulator II

“Ive owned this Emulator II for about 14 years…

I bought it in 2011. The previous owner said he was from New York, and that that’s where he bought it in the early 1990’s. Him and his wife moved from New York to Nashville at some point, which is where I drove, to meet him at his house and buy it.

I transported it home in my vehicle on pillows. I have always kept it on a table so that the feet would make contact. When not in use it has always had a dust cover on it.

I bought a new power supply for it 2 years ago. The original has always worked fine. I wanted to have a replacement if I ever needed it. I went ahead and put it in to make sure it worked correctly. It does.

The previous owner installed a new display and put blue lights where red ones were. He also replaced the 2 black knobs with bigger, better ones(still have the originals)

The following items are included:

1. E-mu Systems volume pedal

2. 40 or so Northstar and E-mu sound disks

3. Two 5 & 1/4 OEM Shugart floppy-drive spares

4. Two random spare 3.5 floppy-drives.

Intellijel Quadra & Expander Project Machine

“Up for sale is my beloved Intellijel Quadra 4-channel envelope/LFO analog Eurorack synthesizer module, and its associated expansion module.

Unfortunately, there are several functions broken:
– Putting the Envelope #4 into LFO mode does nothing, so Envelope #4 only functions as an AR and AHR envelope. The other 3 work great.
– The EOC 4 output does not function, so you can’t get a trigger when Envelope #4 finishes running. The other 3 work great.
– The Quad 3+4 switch has no effect, so Envelopes #3 & #4 cannot be put into quadrature oscillation. Quad 1+2 still works great.

I believe this happened because I did not correctly attach the expander to the main unit one time :'(. I’ve used it for approximately 7 years since then, so I don’t expect any further failures as a result of this mistake. I will ship it to you with the expander already attached (carefully packed) to spare you from the same humiliation!

These functions are broken even with the expander removed. Cosmetically, it is in great condition (with the usual rack rash on the panel screw holes).

Includes 17 jumpers (16 are required on the back of the main unit when the expander is not attached, and 1 extra), and 8 M3 standard Eurorack screws. Comes from a smoke-free and pet-free household.” Click here to visit listing on eBay

(I had a short lived 80s / music phase) It was basically unused, treated & care-taken with respect, & until recently had been protected pretty much untouched in storage for about 10+ yrs — The video here- is the initial play test after storage intended to demonstrate sound.

This was packed/treated with care, and put away in perfect working order to store (climate controlled) a bit over 10 years ago.

“This one is in good cosmetic condition and working 100%. This is for the synth only and not the keyboard. It has been professionally serviced and with a lot of restoration by Phil Cirocco of CMS. As some of you know, Phil is highly respected and is the premiere ARP specialist. This ARP 2600 is a V3.0 made on the 23rd week (June) of 1973. It has some unusual markings for V3. As you can see, it has the G-Clef sticker, but with the Tonus logo Silkscreen. It has the 15.5″ panel which is correct for a V3.0, but has the squared speaker grille instead of the oval. All of this is cosmetic, however. It will be properly packaged when sold and will arrive in the condition as stated. Proof of the actual shipping cost will be provided if needed. Powertran Transcendent 2000

“Rare, 1978 vintage, classic analog mono synth famously used by Joy Division, New Order, Thomas Dolby et al. These don’t come up for sale often and I know I’ll regret selling it but need to slim down the studio.

Used very sparingly in my smoke-free / pet-free home studio only. Nothing sounds exactly like this synth, it has a very peculiar analog, powerful sound – but it can also be shaped to sound gentle.

This one was very well built and all the functions work perfectly on it.

Cosmetically in excellent shape too. (the plastic “skirt” of one knob (the tuning / pitch knob) has a little dent -see one of the photos – it’s virtually unnoticeable as the whole surface of the synth is same black color.)

(Note on the keyboard mechanics: these old types of synths’ keyboard use the old method where there is a bus bar with two contact strips, one for CV and one for Gate. All 37 cv & gate key contacts are working perfectly. However it is possible that during shipment, if the synth gets moved abruptly a CV or gate wire might end out of line and not touch the contact bar. IF this happens, all you need to do is simply open the case, and gently pull the wire back on to touch the bar. I WILL pack the synth extremely well, inside its flight case, and then into a thick carboard box with plenty of packing so it shouldn’t move. But I wanted to mention this in case you receive it and one of the keys doesn’t play or is stuck it is extremely easy to fix.)” Click here to visit listing on eBay
