” This was a strange storage unit auction find in the midwest. I don’t know the story with the clear body, but I’ve never seen another one like it.
The roadcase it comes in is worn on the outside, but the foam inside is still good.
Here’s what’s been done to it:
~ All sliders were removed, cleaned, lubricated and reinstalled
~ All remaining controls were cleaned
~ The keyboard was completely disassembled, cleaned, rebushed, and all contacts were cleaned and adjusted
~ All tantalum power decoupling caps were replaced with electrolytic capacitors
~ The power supply board was re-capped and calibrated
~ The 4075 filter module was removed, recapped, and modified for increased cutoff frequency response
~ The original multicolored (now badly discolored) set of slider caps were replaced with a new, all white set. I’ll include the original slider caps for anyone interested.

Built with 48 velocity-sensitive keys and the same Curtis circuitry found in the company’s more expensive models, the Six-Trak boasts six voice polyphony and six VCOs for solid lead, bass, and pad modeling. Throw in an expansive onboard sequencer and single knob for one parameter control to achieve a world of sound right out of the gate.
I’ve owned this synthesizer for 2 years and have had nothing but joy from it. The only reason I’m selling is so I can afford to buy… another synthesizer, of course. Comes with 99 great patches. You can edit those to make most sounds you might want. The sequencer is very simple but intuitive and includes some fun features such as multitimbrality (multiple patches at once) and volume for each voice. It’s also one of the few synths from this period that has full midi functionality, so you can plug it right to the computer or a sequencer. Overall this thing is in great condition. The wood panels are slightly scuffed on the corners but no actual damage. All buttons and keys work. You don’t wanna miss out on this 1984 polysynth! This is almost a modular synthesizer in itself, yet is for use with modular or CV synths to add expressive control and sort of patch in VCO and XY signals in new configurations. It creates beautiful, complex, and really unusual modulations as would be appreciated by a performing musician or sound designer or an odd noise collector. “Overall, the synth is in superb working condition. The front panel is very clean, with hardly a mark to be seen, just small blemishes. The aluminium side panels are really tidy with only minor marks. The back panel is very clean with only minor blemishes to the paintwork.

“Up for auction is a vintage Akai AX80 Programmable Polyphonic Synthesizer keyboard. This one was made in Japan, in the 80’s, serial number 0062036543. This one turns on and almost all the functions work with three exceptions:
The “F” key above middle “C” does not work
The Modulation control does not function
The power cord’s shielding is frayed where it goes into the keyboard (keyboard still turns on, but it is a shock hazard) and should be replaced

The keyboard is in good working condition, with a few scuff marks.
The stereo chorus slider is missing the grip (like on the volume control) but still slides perfectly well.
The battery cover for the back is missing, and one of the battery contacts is rusted.
3 of the flat keys are slightly misaligned, so they stick very slightly.

“Brilliant analog synth manufactured by Moog in 1981 and sold under the Realistic brand until 1983. Lovely old school sound.
The condition is decent considering its age. The plastic knob on 2 of the faders have fallen off but they still function fine. Powers on and plays just needs some fiddling around to get some decent sounds – will need some work on it but works through my amp. I’ve inherited it from my father but I play the drums so it’s useless to me.
