“This Keyboard is in Good cosmetic condition. The housing is free damage but has some scratches mostly located on the end caps which is typical from prior use and ownership. The keybed is free of damage but has some dust stuck in the hard to get to places. The keys are moving as intended. The buttons and faders are also moving smoothly and properly however, the mod and pitch wheel are slight bent but are moving. “Auction for a Yamaha DX100 FM Synthesizer. Some minor cosmetic flaws, but is fully functional to my knowledge (tested, powers on, makes sound, all presets are functional, pitch controller, oscillator wheel, volume slider, etc. all working). Not skilled enough to have tried to make my own patches.

“Somebody flaked on this one a month back, after realizing it does not come with a power cord. No power cord comes with. This is a power cord missing item.. also needs a new internal batt. I have tested it with my sequential Tom cord, and it turns on and sequencing functions work…the sound has gotten quieter as the internal batt wore down. ” Rare Arp 2601 Synthesizer. It’s time for it to be used to create music again! For many years, it was stored in a spare bedroom closet, and for years, I was going to have it restored and brought up to spec, but alas…, I ran out of time and interest… I did plug it in and turn it on… and all three oscillators generated tone, and they seemed fairly steady (no severe audible drift when tuned to A440 while on). However, I did not go through and test all of the functions and/or all the other modules.
You can see that there were some professional modifications added/done on this one (see pics). It may have been done by Phil Ciricco, the synth wizard at CMS. The quality workmanship of the switches/pots installed is evident, although I can’t say for certain:
3620 KYBD- 2 switches added on right side of controls. Function? Not sure.
VCF Potentiometer- Perhaps variable KYBD voltage control? Not sure.
ADSR- A switch installed and Sustain and Release output jacks? Not sure.
The buyer of this unit will need to invest some time and money in testing, calibration, and possibly some repairs, however the Arp 2601’s are rare and well worth the investment. All the switches, knobs are complete and the tolex has no major tears or holes. Some of the slide potentiometers are a little sticky- none are frozen, but they will need to be professionally cleaned and lubed. This unit looks excellent for being almost 40 years old- as if it lived in a recording studio most of it’s life! What you see in the pictures is what you’ll get. It is being sold as with no warranties whatsoever. I will securely pack the unit in two boxes (main unit and keyboard) and insure it for shipment to the lower 48 States of the USA only. This is a beautiful, super-clean, all-original vintage ArpOdyssey MK II, 2813.This is an excellent opportunity for a collector, as well as a musician looking for a high quality, powerful musical instrument.
Serial number 0786, produced in 1976.
It has lived in my air conditioned, smoke-free,humidity-controlled studio since 2011. I purchased it in 2011 from the second owner, and it was in great shape. I have kept it in near-perfect condition, and had it serviced by Wine Country Sequential in San Jose, CA:
1. General maintenance, tuning, cleaned key contacts andsliders, repaired high pass filter slider.
2. Rubber key stops replaced.
3. Control panel potentiometers replaced
4. Field effect transistor in the Sample and Hold moduler eplaced
5. Replacement of the tantalum capacitors
