“Selling my vintage 1980 Moog/RadioShack MG-1 Concertmate analog synthesizer; s/n 2463. Original owner, bought it new in 1981 in Temple Hills, MD when I thought that I had musical talent (I don’t) so was just me noodling around on it for all those years. Has been kept on display in my office for the last 20 years; non-smoking controlled environment. As far as I can tell, every knob/switch/slider functions as designed and sounds good, no crackles or pops from the knobs and sliders, which move smoothly. All keys clean, smooth and responsive (I’m not a musician, so I don’t know how to tell if there is a problem with the response other than “press a key, sound comes out”). Don’t see any evidence of major foam deterioration. Cosmetically excellent, no blemishes, dings, all knobs and sliders present. As this synth is 41 years old, it would certainly benefit from a professional cleaning and tuning however it is playable right out of the box.
Yes, I have the original box but it is in very poor condition having been stored in less than ideal conditions (see photos); fortunately the synth wasn’t in it during that time. I do have the foam blocks as well. The synth will be sent in this box with a much sturdier box around it. Original manual plus addendum included as well.” Click here to visit listing on eBay
