“Offered for sale is a very nice looking Yamaha FM tone generator synthesizer TX81Z, Made in Japan. I have tested this by plugging it into the mains and ensuring that it powers up. That is the extent of my test as I know nothing else about these nor as to how they work. Am therefore selling as is and as you see it. I will not accept any returns since I am selling as is and as you see it and have stated my facts accurately. The unit is in excellent cosmetic condition and has been well looked after by its owner. “If you’re looking at this listing, you already know what a Yamaha tx81z is. It’s that beautiful yet grungy 1 unit rackmount FM synth from Yamaha that has been used in countless house/techno/pop/rap hits. Almost every preset is awesome and it has a sound that I love. I’ll buy another one day but for now I’m done with music. It’s in good shape and works perfectly but it does have some expected scuffs and scrapes for something this old. I bought it secondhand a few years ago and it’s just sat in my bedroom since. I don’t thrash my gear or do anything crazy around it. “This listing is for a Yamaha TX81Z multi timbral FM tone generator in working order. I personally tested this by plugging in a midi keyboard and some head phones, it sounds really cool. This is also in pretty nice cosmetic shape compared to others I looked at on eBay. Somewhere along the line the plastic buffer that the cable sits in, that attaches to the metal chassis, was lost. I never had an issue but, just wrapped the tape around the cable tin a spot that the rubber had word a bit.” Click here to search for synths on eBay
