“This is probably the most difficult sale I have ever made, in fact I have wrestled with selling the DX over many years as it has sat sadly idle in a corner gathering dust. You see that is a crime in itself as the DX100 is aguably the best DX vintage synth in my humble opinion and I’ve owned a few (dx7, dx200, TG300, TX81Z, FS1r…I fecking love FM). The reason is simple, the DX100 is light and portable, it has only 4 operators which means has just enough complexity without getting overwhelmed in the FM labrynth. Unlike other, cleaner more modern FM synths, the DX has a lot of quirk, weird envelope hangs depending on how you clip the keys that you just dont get on other synths- its unique and with a bit of grit that you just dont get on modern synths.

The keyboard was completely tested after sitting on a shelf for last couple years and absolutely everything works as suppose to be: all keys, display, all buttons etc- all work great. meanwhile the synth needs to be filled by sounds. We lost all patches about 2 years ago, so battery was replaced, also power cord was replaced on new one, but we never got any cartridge to fill keyboard by sounds. So I recorded some sort of spacy patch #1 just to get sound and test keys and all functions. you’ll need some cartridge or you can do it by yourself but DX series is kind of difficult to program. anyway, it’s possible and it takes time. Cosmetically the synth has some marks and imperfections here and there, but after all it doesn’t look bad for basically 40 years old instrument and cosmetics doen’t effect on functionality at all. Due an age and vintage nature the synth goes AS IS. But as I said she does works great, just fill out by sounds. we put very reasonable price. Item will be well packed and insured, see all pictures.”

“This is a great small mono synth imported from Japan in the 1970s. It runs at Japan 100V but works totally fine in the US at 115/120VAC. I do have a step up transformer I will include for an extra $20 if you’d like.
