“This was working Perfectly until a couple of days ago. If you look at pictures 6,7,8, you can see the culprit. It looks like something has burned out on the mains input circuit board, its probably not called that, sorry i dont know much about these things. Im certain this is an easy fix for somone in the know. The Synth is in worn condition but everything worked perfectly up until it decided to catch fire. Well it did smell like that !! There is no case with the DX7 so it is COLLECTION ONLY sorry about that !!!! ”

“The keyboard is in full working condition with one exception. The spring on one of F# keys does not function and neither does the key. The cover on the function keys is cracked in four places but the keys beneath do themselves work. In both cases see the photos I have included of these defects. There are also a number of small scuffs and scratches of a cosmetic nature”

“You are viewing Vintage YAMAHA SY 22 synthesize with Dynamic Vector Synthesis. Please note this is not my subject but I have had the key board working through the headphone jack. I have not played through the Midi Out no Midi system. As far as I can tell all the functions work but I could not get the pitch bend to work. All the keys work but two have minor damage to the front face. The transformer is missing replacement can be obtained on ebay. The back of the key board is scratched and screws missing hence low starting price and no reserve.”

“This listing is for one Yamaha TX81Z. I bought it in 1990 from a fiend who was the original owner and it has had minimal use and movement since then. I have thoroughly tested and assessed it. My description is accurate and I’m selling it as is with no returns. The two flaws that I found do not affect the performance of the unit at all. At some point the power cord was nicked a few inches in from the plug and the outer jacket had a small breach. The inner wires have their own jackets and they were completely intact. I covered the spot with electrical tape and checked for any shorting or noise by bending the cord in every direction at that spot and it is totally sound.. The other issue is that there is a slight hum coming from the unit itself when powered up but it does not come through or affect the audio outputs at all. ”

Unit passes audio , vcos and oscillators are functional but needs to be tweaked by synth tech to be 100 percent . I will list sold as is for parts not working but you can call me and I’ll play it so you can hear it . audio no distortion in signal at all . The only problem I see with unit is when you play a note it works but it doesn’t decay .”

“Very good condition, one owner, mild use, smoke-free, and fully functional except the battery needs to be replaced. All buttons are functional and none have cracks from overuse. Because the battery is dead, I loaded sounds into the on-board memory to prove that it is working properly. If loading sound banks via MIDI, the battery is not needed. Battery replacement procedure is fairly straight-forward and can be found on YouTube. There are minor scuffs and scratches on the bottom but nothing serious. Cosmetically, this item is in really good condition. I’m selling only because I have to downsize.”
