“This Keyboard is in Good cosmetic condition. The housing is free damage but has some scratches mostly located on the end caps which is typical from prior use and ownership. The keybed is free of damage but has some dust stuck in the hard to get to places. The keys are moving as intended. The buttons and faders are also moving smoothly and properly however, the mod and pitch wheel are slight bent but are moving. “I am original owner of this Vintage excellent condition never used on the road Yamaha DX7. Everything works as its suppose to. I struggled to buy this state of art Digital keyboard for $2000 dollars from E.U. Wurlitzer Music and Sound in Boston in the early eighties. I used it as a midi controller in my home studio .The DX7 is very well built Keyboard and I never had any issues with mine. My DX7 has never be abused. I have not used it in years but would plug it in to check internal battery every so often over those years( it’s at 4.5 ). The sound of it really bings you back to the 80s.

The unique features of this unit are:

1) A voltage selector that allows it to operate at 110-120 Volts or 220-240 Volts (shown in the picture)
2) It comes with a pretty strong case (Anvyl Style) in red and aluminum

1) a cigarette-burn mark at the right of the keys (shown in picture)
2) the handle of the case is missing (shown in picture)

” I bought this as a non working unit. The power supply had some loose solder joints which have all been repaired. Factory settings were dumped into it with sysex MIDI and sound superb! The synth was disassembled and cleaned head to toe! I was planning on keeping it so I did a very thorough cleanup of all the contacts and inspected all boards for corrosion. The buttons were ALL replaced ALL 48 TACT SWITCHES ARE NEW! No hard pressing or anything at all which is VERY nice.
