“A classic keyboard from the 80’s. I bought this about 20 years ago, and it was pretty much in the same condition then as it is today. A bit of the brown paint has worn from the casing, and there are a few scrapes. All issues are shown in the photos. The side panel on the right hand side is broken at the back, as can also be seen in the photos, and a couple of the higher white notes are slightly damaged. These is the only real bit of physical damage on the unit. I have seen replacements for these for sale on eBay. The lowest white note on the left hand side (C) does not work. It presses down fine, but doesn’t trigger any sound and doesn’t send any midi data either. All the other keys are fully working, as are the screen, the number display and all the buttons on the front. The MIDI in and MIDI out are both fully functional, as are the mono OUTPUT socket on the back and the stereo (mono L/R) PHONES socket on the front. I don’t know about the other sockets on the machine as I don’t have gear I can plug into them to test them, but I don’t see any reason why they shouldn’t be OK too.
When i fired this up for the first time in a while recently, a low battery message was displayed on screen briefly. It has not reappeared since, so I think it was just because it had been off for so long (more than 5 years). I would rather leave it as it is, and leave the winning bidder to replace it if they want as I don’t want to break anything by opening it up. Also, I know that sysex and MIDI generally can be a bit of a daunting pain, so I have reloaded the factory presets and sounds.
