It’s seen a few racks in it’s time , scratches , dinks , etc. It wasn’t really that nice a looking synth anyway !!! Other than that , everything else works. I only got it for the Lately Bass sound. And it does sound impressive. I noticed there is a couple of other famous sounds in there . But the Lately Bass stands out from the rest. ” Yamaha SY35 (SY-35) The full key sized version of the desktop TG
Used (not this one exactly) by artists such as MOBY, SCANNER, ASC as it offers vector synthesis with joystick for morphing soundscapes and basses so was kinda unique back in teh day and still is now for certain producers Grey Area (ASC) techno sounds for these morphng pads but needs a good understanding of the programming. Manual is available online. Programmable, plenty of patches and has inputs for foot pedals for volume and sustain.
In pretty good condition, obvious few little scratches and marks and joystick too but have included closeups. Even second hand im picky with condition. Scratches underneath of course from desktop studio and wear. Never gigged only for home production.
Loads of ambient and soundscape artists love this kind of retro sound and its a fab big keyboard for midi control anyway.
Can provide a demo of it working no bother.

“Yamaha SY55 Synthesiser/Sequencer 61-key, fully operational with Original Manual.
Due to downsizing I’m reluctantly getting rid of one of my old synthesisers as I have not used it in a while. I have tested it out and everything seems to still be operational. Given it’s age and use there are some signs of wear. The last few high keys have a scratch on them (see picture), otherwise given it’s age it is in good condition and working order.

Very good condition. No marks on top, back front or sides. Slight scuff on bottom but out of sight.
All screws in place, I don’t think it’s ever been opened up. Comes with original owners manual and voice programming guide. Power supply and cassette with factory voice data.
It’s not as heavy as it’s big brother, the DX7, but still quite heavy so collection only unless you want to arrange courier at your expense.
The DX family get bad press for being difficult to program, but I didn’t think so. The voice programming guide walks you through five examples showing how to start with a raw signal and turn it into a voice. You have eight algorithms to play with, each made up of four operators.

The main board original fixed battery was removed and replaced with a battery holder (which of course has a new battery installed). Battery can now be easily replaced when exhausted.

Comes with a euro ac adaptor with US plug converter but powers up with no issues.
I plugged it in and functions and switches appear to work but I’m not an expert. The absolute highest key seems to be a little wonky so you’ll probably have to hit it with some contact cleaner.
Keep in mind that we are offering this for a discounted starting bid and there are plenty of serviced examples out there. Buy this only if you’re a tinkerer/pro that knows how to maintain vintage synths. With a small bit of effort you can have a great player synth for a fraction of the price of a serviced one. ”
