“I’ve owned several yamaha synth modules over the years. They all or most all had the most excellent sounds. This is no different in that way. It is a little different than my tx81z. I won’t get some DX7 sounds that it will, but will get some different tones that are a branch away from the DX7 sounds. Anyways, I had one of these for years. It got stolen mid 2019. I ran across one I was able to pick up. I had never written down serial, so this honestly might be the same one. You don’t see them around a lot. The unit is partially tested and it does power on. The internal battery was replaced. It has some error “Memory Corrupt,” and it doesn’t play (you still can hear some sounds, but those are more likely beeps…)

Tested all the preset patches – a couple of them said “storage low” and the volume seemed lower than others on some patches. The display is clear and easy to read. In working condition.
I tested it with head phones and it works fine. When I connected it to my audio interface it started making a weird, kind of buzzing sound. I also connected it to another amp and it worked fine. The volume switch makes some noise. A component cleaning may fix that up. Some cosmetic flaws, but nothing serious. Overall in good condition.”
