“For sale i’ve got a Yamaha DX21 FM synthesizer.. It will need the factory patches reloaded onto it as it has a garbled screen and will only make sound when the factory reset procedure loads up the Init sound patch. I have replaced the old battery with a new slotted removable battery holder for easy change. All notes respond on keyboard. Cosmetically it’s got some scratches and scuffs but not too bad. Comes with the owner’s manual.”

“I bought this about a year ago as a repair project and repaired the faults it had and is now fully working. The end cheek fittings were snapped inside and have been refitted and are all good, one end has a small piece missing (as it came to me), but is cosmetic (see pictures). Some of the voice select tact buttons were unresponsive, about 6 I think – replaced those – all good. removed the key bed and cleaned all the gunk and grease off and regreased and tested – all working now. Few other little bits of lubing etc, and 1 of the slider caps was missing – 3D printed cap is now fitted – see pics.

Sorry this sounds like a repair invoice, just really want the new buyer to know what’s been fixed and the current condition etc. It’s fully working and is a pretty great synth, but I now have a DX7II and no longer use it. YAMAHA DX7 Synthesiser – used (UK PICKUP ONLY)

bought this DX7 back in 2021 when i was making music, however I have come away from the passion over the past year so looking to sell it on to a new home.

battery was replaced only a few weeks after recieving it back in September time of 2021 so should be good for another few years!

small bits of damage here and there to the outer shell of the synth, specifically a large chip on the top right corner of it that has been glued back on and seems to be holding well (see picture 9). The power chord is a little roughed up around the connection to the synth (see picture 8) and the plug also has a small bit of damage in the corner (see picture 11). None of these issues affect the performance in any way.

the one main issue is the highest D# key seems to have lost its spring so gets stuck in the pressed down position (see picture 10), previous owner has tried to fix this by placing a small wooden tab underneath inside however this didnt help 🙁 providing that you dont use the key when playing it will stay as is and not make any noise, you can pull it back up into place though if you do accidently press it down.

Other than that it is a great synth with some classic 80s presets on the internal memory. The external cartridge seen in the image is not included in this sale and will be put up as a seperate listing some other time :)” Click here to visit listing on eBay
