“This Synthesizer is in overall good used condition and when tested everything works properly except one key does not return properly so it is sold as is. The key does produce sound but only springs back halfway (see picture with arrows). The unit has some scratches and scuffs on the top and some scratches on the bottom and it could use cleaning.”

“This Synthesizer does work but is sold as is because the keyboard body has damage and the volume slider knob is missing. Also the volume makes a crackling noise when adjusted. The unit has some scratches and scuffs on the top and some scratches on the bottom and it could use cleaning. One corner has broken plastic and the end panel is loose (see pictures). The synthesizer will be shipped boxed and in the hard plastic storage case. “Oh, for sale is the Yamaha CX 5M music computer. A little background information about this unit. Earlier this year, I tested it and it was working just fine. I recently tested it again and was not able to get video. When the unit is plugged into the television, The television will flicker like it does when you turn on the component that’s plugged in. It doesn’t seem to go beyond that. This unit has two cartridges. The first is the Yamaha DX seven voice creation program. The second is the program needed to utilize the FM synthesizer unit that’s attached to the bottom of the computer. Also, I have an original box that one of these voice modules may have come from. There’s also a tube here with several chips, some of which say that it’s an upgrade to the voice unit. I am also including the Yamaha CA01. PHYSICAL CONDITION: Poor – 5 Keys are missing on the keyboard. The pitch and mod wheels are bent as well. There are also some notable scuffs and dings around the synth. Overall, the physical condition is poor.

“Yamaha dx100, it needs repair. It will work when it wants to like just the right angle or just the right wiggle of the ac adapter (not included) so I will say this is more for repair or parts, or if lucky it will work sometimes. Possibly will work better with batteries, not sure I’ve never checked, and yes I used this for a talkbox carrier. So it did have the c is c patch when working. Take a look at pics, it does have body damage. Thought when working, all keys / sliders / buttons / wheels worked as they should. ”

These are fantastic synthesisers and was ground breaking for its time.
This has been a very tough decision to decide to part with this unit (and I may end up changing my mind), but the truth is, I have some new projects on the horizon and this is unlikely to get the attention it deserves so I need to move it on.
If you are reading this then you will almost certainly know about this unit and how good it is. Loads of articles online about it’s function and features so these won’t be repeated here. Has 2 extra RAM SIMMS installed ready for loading samples into (will try to get a photo shortly). Lots of support for this online and undoubtedly software available to use with/alongside it.
The aging floppy drive has been replaced with a modern USB solution, so you can download various songs, instruments, samples etc and load them without worrying about the floppy drive wearing out. It even has a screen on it so you can scroll through to select the right ‘disc’/sample to load. This makes searching for and trialling new sounds so much easier as you can download them onto any usb stick and go straight from there. Please note however, that no usb is supplied but these are available pretty much anywhere. If you want to have the old (probably non-functioning) floppy drive for this, it is available at extra cost. Please let me know after purchase.
In terms of condition, the unit has been well looked after but does have some surface marks and wear, but remember that this model is from 1992, so you have to expect something. The sliders are very smooth in use and all the buttons/lights etc work. There is a slight crack to the plastic on slider 8 however this doesn’t prevent it’s operation, it’s merely cosmetic. You can see this in one of the pictures.

“Yamaha DX-7-II synthesizer was bought new and used mostly at home. It looks and plays like a mint unit. Keyboard works perfectly. But there is a sticking voice selector number 22. It is now stuck but not engaged. All other voices play. The instrument comes with one plug in voice module(RAM). I do not have the original DX-7 voices on this instrument but they can be downloaded. This unit comes with a vintage Calzone flight case. It was used outside the house once per year since 2088. The rest of the time it was used at home. “Up for auction is a used Yamaha TX216 Rack Synth with 2 FM Tone Generator Modules… AS IS.
I am the original owner and purchased it new. This item was working fine when I stopped using it. It’s been in storage for almost 20 years. Unfortunately the batteries died at some point and all of the onboard sounds were lost from memory. The images show its in really good shape otherwise.
I replaced the dead battery on each module (no corrosion present) and ran the audio test in the utility mode settings. Midi good. Both modules output the 440hz test tone fine so it should just be a matter of loading in the sound data into memory again. I have no way to load this data at this time.

“Selling a Yamaha TX816 fully loaded rack module with 8 Yamaha TF-1 FM Synthesizer modules (8 individual DX7s in blade format) for your purchasing pleasure. Module #4 is missing the data selector knob cap but the internal switch still works, albeit a bit stiff. Otherwise all modules are fully functional, all lights/LEDs and displays work, output audio properly and receive and output MIDI as well.
