I’ve inspected the circuit board and couldn’t find any obvious issues — no leaky caps or cracked traces, etc. I suspect that it needs a recap. In any case, seeing as I already have too many jobs on my bench, I’ve decided to let this one go.”

“For sale we have a Yamaha DX100 Digital Programmable Algorithm Synthesizer. It has some keys that are not working therefore we are selling it as is for parts or repair. There are absolutely no returns.” 
“What can I say? It’s a great machine, especially if you like that clean 80’s sound. It is super capable of whatever wacky modified FM synthesis sound you want if you modify the settings. That’s pretty involved, but I printed out the manual for you so have at it. It does not come with the power cable, you can get one online or use batteries – I used a universal adaptor and it worked fine.

“I DO NOT have a power supply – I used some new “C” batteries. – When staring up – it indicates “CNG RAM BATTERY” – when I select different instrument / sounds it seems to work. – I plugged a pair of headphones (I do not have a amp any more) and it seems to work – Otherwise the rest is untested – not sure how all the functions / features work (it’s been a long time – I am the original owner). – in the original box (box has some dings / light punctures and the tape on the bottom was coming loose, so I put some packing tap on the seam)”
