There are small scuffs on the front of the wooden left side panel, and the back “Virus” logo shows a bit of wear (all pictured), but otherwise this desktop synth is clean, completely operational (all pots are smooth and precise), and the LED display is bright and in great shape. The tone is massive and as aggressive as needed… it’s no wonder its distinctive sounds have been imitated in more recent VST plugins! “The synth seems to work at first, but after 30 minutes the screen goes blank and the synth becomes unusable. All original capacitors have been replaced with Nichicon for better sound before this problem. The synth was sent for diagnostics and was told the problem is that one of the circuit lines to one of the chips is not getting enough proper voltage, which could be a bad capacitor connection. “This Virus B is in good condition and working well. All controls have great feel and respond accurately. All lights and screen fully functional. All ports and jacks in great shape and connect without issue. Sound is strong and clear from all inputs and outputs.
Sale includes the synth with installed rack ears and two power supplies. The original PSU is quite beat up but does work. The other power supply is brand new and was purchased specifically for this synth.
Unit is in overall very good physical condition. It has plenty of scuffs and scratches along the sides but the control panel area is very clean. Please view photos carefully.
