“In good working order – everything works as it should, the volume knob sometimes gives a very slight crackle when moved.

Some of the graphics have faded / worn on the front panel, please check the photos to see this. Someone has also glued the battery compartment shut so unable to powered by batteries unless you break the glue.

A great piece that was used in the elementary school where I taught (No, I was 4th grade not music teacher so don’t know much about this instrument). I purchased it at a school surplus sale, a few years ago. Had very light use in the elementary school band. Comes with the original adaptor and manual and box (Box is a little rough will send box but will re-box so it travels safely.) “Roland SH-101 Analogue Synthesiser Spares Or Repairs. This SH-101 works, but not reliably. It needs someone with some knowledge to give it some TLC and bring it back to life. There is no cover for the battery compartment and no power supply.
I think the pots and knobs need a good looking at. There’s intermittent crackling on some keys. The tune knob crackles when turned and cuts the sound out in various positions. “Legendary analog mono synth in good shape overall

All functions work as intended including the pitch bend wheel “LFO mod” which is often broken on these, with only a little play in the bend center position. Cosmetically it’s solid as well, besides a small chip in the battery door that is pictured. No dead keys.

All input and output jacks have been tested and are working as they should. I don’t have access to the modulation grip accessory that these originally shipped with but I would assume those jacks work as well.

Just extensively serviced by Mike Still electronics, and fully functional. Includes an original Roland power supply PSA-220 with UK 2-pin to 3-pin adapter.

Cosmetically in great external condition, although there is a small blemish in the battery cover – see photos, also a small crack in the mod-grip, which is quite a common feature of the MGS-1, but doesn’t affect its performance.

The unit itself works great. Has 1 bit of damage to note, in the 3rd screenshot where it says “BENDER” in the top part of the image. If you look in between the letters N and D, you can see a hairline crack in the plastic moving down to the left of the mod wheel. Noting that was there before I bought this unit 2 years ago and it hasnt gotten any worse with time.
