It even sounds a little bolder than the Prophet 5! I had a pro analog tech install new key bushings and give it a good once over. This synth plays, sounds and looks great! Nothing beats the classics!
I left a radio station sticker on the side left panel.. you can easily remove it if you wish.. i just kept in on there as it really reminds me of how awesome the 80’s were. BTW, this is an early serial J Wire edition.. not the problematic Membrane Keybed version which has issues.. happy happy!”

Keybed is fine, Chorus and other modulation thingy work. All voices work but there is a faint open voice always with a long decay.

its the big brother of the sixtrak and has 8 of those synth on a chip instead of six

so its 8 voice polyphonic or dual layers of 4 voices that can be stacked or keyboard split

also the layers have seperate outputs a and b

it sounds amazing very warm and retro it has a nice compact size only tiny bit bigger then the sixtrak

the pro-8 was an exclusive japanese release and is very rare so its 100v and comes with small converter

it was later rebaged for the usa market as the split-8 with a different looking design

the pro-8 has the oldschool sequential design like the sixtrak and the prophet 600 with black matt finsih and the wooden end cheeks

the synth is fully wokring order and silly good collectors condition”

“Selling a vintage Prophet-600 that needs some work. It starts up and plays to some extent but has damage to the membrane keypad (a brand new one is included for you to install) and the LED has the typical dim segment problem. The original side panels (included) were damaged so nice new ones were made. Don’t have the time for this project, but it could be a great finished keyboard with some work.

The red button was added by a previous owner to fix a problem with a broken button on the membrane keypad. Once the keypad is replaced, you could remove or disconnect it.

“I am selling my beloved and well regarded Sequential Circuits Prophet 600 with GliGli upgrade.

The Prophet 600 is a wonderful and rich sounding 2 vco vintage polyphonic synthesizer packed full of features and tricks.

This particular unit is in fantastic condition and features a full set of P5 knob caps. The synth is in great service and works exactly as it should, it is a joy to play. The original CPU will be included in the sale should you wish to swap out the GliGli.

The only minor thing worth mentioning about this unit is that some of the silkscreening around the filter has rubbed away over the years, please see photos for more detail, other than that, the synth is in near mint condition.

“I’m selling this Prophet 2000 synth as-is since it has an output issue. I haven’t dove deep into this synth but bought it used last year & each feature I messed with did work, including the disk drive & sampling. But when using factory sounds, either headphones or external speakers, it will play two notes panned hard left, then two hard right, then two left, and so on. Also the first note on the right is a bit buzzy each time. If I load a sample disk, it will do this ping pong panned output issue rotating with 4 notes each side. So no stereo output. At least this is what it was doing when I used it last week to prepare it for auction. I looked for this issue online and found one mention of this problem, but if you work on synths, perhaps this is the auction for you. Maybe it’s an easy fix for someone who knows what they are doing. It comes with the power cable and a stack of disks, half of which successfully loaded & half that either weren’t recognized or had some loading issue, so those could be considered blanks I suppose. The picture with the disks spread out is the stack that loaded properly. Nothing fancy, just a lot of basic sounds, the real magic is sampling your own stuff anyways. Physically, it’s a tank and just has a bit of scuffing & some white marks here & there. Keys are all solid and all work as well as buttons & knobs.” Click here to visit listing on eBay

This is from around 1985, and have a video below playing it and seems to play great.

This comes with the original power supply which has been modified with its own off and off switch – not sure why as the switch on the keyboard works just fine.

Good cosmetic condition and all the keys play and register nicely. no broken or chipped keys.

The circuit board that the buttons in the “Track” section are connected is loose, just on the left hand side, so when you press the buttons, they sink down a bit. probably just needs a screw tightened inside on that section of circuit board. all the buttons function perfectly – see the video below which shows that issue.

Even though this looks to be in great working condition, I haven’t a clue how to test all the myriad of features so am selling this as is only as I am not a keyboard geek.

The Gotek drive and the SCSI2SD drive offer the best workflow configuration. The SCSI2SD drive allows you to load an entire bank/project of sounds into memory in seconds. The Gotek drive allows you to add individual presets to the current bank that’s in memory. You cannot load individual presets from the SCSI2SD banks, only full banks can be loaded.
