Audio out is clean and strong. Has lower noisefloor than a bunch of modern gear.
Small ding in one wooden ear but othwrwise in great cosmetic condition.
All 6 voices work and keep tune. All membrane buttons are responsive. And the LED js bright and clear for its age.
Everything appears to work as it should and patches sound great.

“Up for sale is an original Sequential Circuits Prophet 5 straight from the Tone House personal recoding studio. This Prophet 5 has been in our studio for years and was the go-to analog synth. Not only are the original sounds extremely flexible, this particular 5 (Rev 3.2) is outfitted with MIDI in/out so using it with modern keyboard controllers and time locking the information out then back into your DAW can be easily done. Cosmetically, the synth is in great overall shape. It exhibits a minor discoloration on the wood panel under the control plate which can easily be seen in the pictures. There are a few other light age marks and the Prophet 5 logo is rubbed away slightly. Overall, the synth is in great condition. This is a rare Sequential Circuits Prophet 600 OS version 2.9 (uploaded Video showing power up can be seen in my tristarmusicgear Instagram page) in 100% working condition with the must-have GliGli Mod, which truly takes the synth to the next level, putting it alongside the Prophet 5 as one of the greatest analog polysynths ever.

The previous owner painted the wood side panels black, which in my opinion gives it a sleeker and more refined look. See for yourself in the photos. If you prefer brown wood, there are a few people selling Prophet 600 wood side panels online. Few dents on the membrane panel.

The synth was fully cleaned and serviced by a synth professional when acquired from previous owner. There are a few small scratches and dings as you can see in the photos, and a few knobs have fading paint, as you might expect from a synth that is almost 40 years old. “Zum Verkauf steht ein Sequential Circuits SCI Prophet 2002 Racksampler.

Der Sampler funktioniert zu 100% bis auf den rückseitigen MIDI OUT/THRU Umschalter für die dritte MIDI Buchse. Dieser Schalter ist bei dem Prophet 2000/2002 bekannt für einen Defekt. Wer die Umschaltung braucht kann ihn einfach tauschen.
In dem Sampler wurde mal vor Rund 5 Jahren ein Schaltnetzteil eingebaut (der Originaltrafo ist weithin im Gerät). Dies sorgt für deutlich kühleres Klima im Gerät, und erhöht somit die Lebensdauer. Zudem verbrennt man sich an der Rückseite nicht mehr die Finger am Gehäuse.
Das letzte ROM 4.3b ist verbaut – somit kann wunderbar auch mein Editor mit diesem Prophet eingesetzt werden ( http://synth.curlsystems.de ). Das Diskettenlaufwerk wurde mal von meinem Vorbesitzer getauscht – auch dieses funktioniert zuverlässig.
Die Anleitung ist leider abhanden gekommen, aber im Internet findet sich diese als PDF. Kann ich auch gerne auf CD beilegen.
Der Zustand ist recht gut – es gibt ein paar kleinere Schrammen. Eine ‘größere’ ist auf der Beschriftung des Bedienpannels beim Parameter ‘Sound Number’. Für die Funktion allerdings irrelevant.
Der Sound von dem Gerät ist – wie soll ich sagen – dank der analogen Curtis Filter sehr schön. Es geht von Sanft bis Brachial. Als Speicher sind 512kWord verbaut (also mit einer Erweiterung).” Click here to search for synths on eBay
