The wavetables sound very good, I replaced the floppy drive and it works PERFECTLY! The filters are analog! I am including my own custom library. This sturdy outboard to a Prophet 2000 can be driven from any external midi keyboard or DAW.

When working the sound quality is excellent even bearing in mind it is a 34 year old machine.

Issues:

1. Hard drive error iF

2. No output

The floppy drive only developed the invalid format issue a few days ago. The discs still load fine on another Sequential machine. Possibly floppy drive simply needs an internal dust.

The P2002 was working fine until just recently when there was no longer audio output. It was reading the discs. The keyboard was triggering the samples and the arpeggiator was working, but silence. I’ve not the expertise to trace the fault but there is no obvious failure visible on the circuit boards. Hence spares and repair.”

Included with the Prophet-3000 is the Operations Manual © 1988 by Sequential, and two rack mounting ears. The unit is being sold as is. We have no system disks. It is untested other than plugging it in and verifying that there is power to the unit. Also, you will need a six-wire phone cord, as described on page 3-6 of the manual, to connect the remote to the Prophet-3000. We have replaced the power cord connector, the voltage selector switch, and one of the capacitors. Several extra capacitors and ICs are also included. Please see all of the pictures. “Vintage Prophet 5 rev 3.3. Works perfectly, was restored in by Wine Country. Has new key bushings. A little bit of screen print is rubbed off, a few of the keys are starting to yellow. Condition is 9.5 out of 10. “Rev 3.3 museum piece , collectors grade condition. Looks new , hard to find a scratch upon it. In July 2019 the synth had a major service and midi refit with the synth professor ( costing £1000 ) the buyer will receive the paperwork. Since then the prophet has had very little home use , and so she sounds and plays as new as well as looking as new.

Included in the sale is a comprehensive survival kit of spare parts , several 1982 nos unused cem 3340 , cem 3320 and cem 3310 , lots of other important chips including a dac , full set of new bushings , set of new j wires , full set of replacement nameplates , 2 original cassettes with the factory programmes , 2 memory cards containing audio files of the 3 banks of factory programmes and additional commercially bought programmes , pitch bend pots , front panel pots , switches , panel knobs etc etc. I worked out what the kit cost me and it came to £1035 !

“Sequential Circuits Prophet 600 For Parts or Repair Rare Japanese Memory Mod.

Includes synthesizer, hard case with aluminum trim, original Japanese documentation on modification.

This came from japan, not sure what work this needs, if any. Untested. It has been modified with some custom Japanese circuit dated 1987. I think the circuit added a hundred or 2 memory slots for voice recall during live performance. (Like ymo) That’s all I can really say.
