“Classic 1980s digital synth from Roland
When I got this it was suffering from the same problems they all do, non-working buttons and dead memory backup battery. Both issues have now been properly fixed, with 38 new micro switches soldered in and a brand new coin cell battery.

“Roland Juno-106. Needs a service. I say this as sometimes there is crackling in the back ground and notes can vanish when in Poly 1 but not Poly 2 for who knows why. This has only just started. In honestly you could use it day to day for now. But its analogue. Who knows! Part of the charm. Could never get any worse or could tomorrow.
I would personally look at getting the chips replaced ASAP.
As such am selling at a lower price to accommodate.

“Roland SH-101 Vintage Analogue Synthesizer.
I bought this amazing analogue synth alongside a Roland TB303 Bassline and TR606 Drumatix in the 90’s as part of my home studio setup along with a Casio CZ1000. Sadly the SH101 is the only item I have left from that setup, although I still have the CZ1000 manual if anyone wants it.
The SH101 is the legendary Roland machine listed in the fantastic book, The Synthesizer & Electronic Keyboard Handbook by David Crombie, and foreword by Thomas Dolby.
The machine is in very good condition, all buttons, sliders and switches work and is in full working order. I have had this from almost new.
Battery holder is in great condition with no rust on contacts and takes 6x Type C 1.5v batteries.

“Generally very good functional condition, the only issue I’m aware of is a little bit of scratchiness in the audio, despite the patch or output (including the quarter-inch versus mic outputs). I intended to have this seemingly very easily-fixed issue fixed by a local tech, but its just sat on my rack, rarely used since I purchased over a year ago—doing a spring cleaning on gear I never use. Patches load without issue, MIDI-IN works fine. I’ve never used an external controller of all the filter/parameters, but I assume it would work without issue if MIDI-IN works. The scratchy audio, while seemingly an easy fix, is loud enough where I think most people would have it fixed before they would deem this usable — to be clear, the scratchy sound I’m describing is not pure static or so loud/constant that you can’t hear patches, but most people want clean audio and the scratchiness is clearly present in the mix.” Click here to visit listing on eBay
