“Up for your consideration today is this nice little Roland Promars MRS-2. I bought this back in 2017 and have really enjoyed it but I recently moved and having to downsize my studio equipment.
It’s in very nice condition for its age with only a few scrapes and marks here and there.
It plays very nice but does have a little noise in audio…sounds like it is before the filter but its not terrible. everything does function as it should and has a great sound. This is basically a monophonic Jupiter 4 but has a extra VCO which really makes this thing powerful.
It’s one of my favorite Roland synths and has a very warm organic VCF unlike some of the other Roland models after this era.
This unit is corrosion free, caught this one before the memory backup battery leaked and I modified the circuit to use a 325718359951BR1/2AA instead of the original battery style.”

“Up for auction is a noteworthy piece of music history, the Roland MC-202 MicroComposer. This iconic vintage synthesizer and sequencer from the 80s is beloved by musicians and collectors alike for its rich, warm tones.
This particular Roland MC-202 unit has been partially tested. When powered on, the power light illuminates as expected, all keys are responsive, and the unit produces sound as can be heard in the video. However, it has not been tested further or examined by a professional technician. Therefore, this item is sold as-is, with no guarantee of full functionality. Despite the limited testing, the synth appears to be in a decent cosmetic condition for its age, bearing signs of wear that add to its vintage character. All obvious cosmetic flaws are visible in the photos, from what I can see two x small nicks in keys, tempo knob at slight angle, crack in front side panel, note I cannot see that the screen comes on. ”

“I don’t have the cables to test if this works or not so it’s untested. This used to be used in my moms church and my uncle (the one who used it and stored it) had never had problems with it when he stored it 15 years ago.
Comes with box but has been water damaged since first picture, please see last photo. The box is still firm and can hold piano it just looks discolored in front. THE PIANO WAS NOT INSIDE THE BOX WHEN WATER DAMAGE OCCURRED! “Roland SPV-355 from 1980, extremely rare and in very good condition at a bargain price as I need to pay for other expenses.
Very few of these are seen on eBay, and often they are half-broken, extremely rusty, extremely battered, always missing parts. Not this one.
The only thing which isn’t original on this item are the white caps on the faders. The old ones were of a type of plastic which wasn’t made to last more than twenty years, they all dried up, cracked and came off. I have replaced them with some new caps in soft rubber which look very similar to the originals, as can be seen in the photos.
This SPV 355 is set for UK voltage and it has a UK plug.”

Fantastic Vintage Mono Synth in excellent condition and working very well.
The only thing I know is wrong with this synth is that the battery is not currently installed as it started leaking after I bought it. Luckily it was the first thing I checked when I got it home and since it just unplugs, I removed it. I was going to get a replacement but I never bothered as I don’t really care about saving sounds. The sounds can be saved but will be lost when you turn off.
So apart from the battery the rest of it is great and has always been like that for as long as I have owned it. Keyboard, sliders and pots are all clean and good, inputs and outputs all work, used it with a Midi to CV most of the time but when disconnected it plays perfectly and of course it sounds excellent. The presets all work as they should.
Cosmetically its very very good but there are some small signs of age and use. Nothing major at all but a few little scuffs and scrapes here and there. I have tried to show these in the photos as best as I can so take a good look.”

” Lovely example, every key/switch/dial/knob cleaned, tested and working as it should (please see video). This is an original un-modded version of this classic synth – if you want one with all the MIDI retrofit bells and whistles, see my other listings.
Overall condition is pretty fresh considering age, and most importantly it’s sounding great and tracking pitch really well up and down the octaves (tested in Fab Filter Pro Q3). As with all vintage analogue synths exact tuning may vary due to temperature, time of day, what pyjamas you’re wearing – the tune knob helps you get it spot on, but the important thing is that once dialled in it tracks consistently (which this 101 does).
The only cosmetic blemish I can see that’s worth of note is a tiny mark on the keys to the far right, shown in the final close-up image, also the battery compartment doesn’t sit completely flush on the right (but is totally clean inside), also visible in the pics.
Includes the original (working) Mod Grip, as pictured, and good quality (stable & noise-free!) 9V power adapter.

Visually no major signs of wear, colour not faded from the panel, still vibrant. Sticker located on the rear of the unit for a music store – it could be removed, I left it on for the charm.
