“Juno-106 in very rare purple and gold colors.
Already a beautiful sounding synth. Beautiful looking too.
Lights have been replaced to be purple, including a transparent pitch-bend which lights up purple.
Sides have been replaced with solid wood.
Synthspa did a full overhaul. Replacing the faulty chips, replacing the battery, replacing caps in the PSU.
Includes dustcover.
This has never been played live or left my home since I’ve owned this synth.”

“This synth works great but the volume knob is a bit loose (but works perfectly). Also the filter fader has no effect on the filter, you still can control the filter by the env filter fader. The filter fader worked after I teaked some internal settings, but then stopped working when I later tuned the unit for pitch… ”

“For sale is a Roland SH-101 and Juno 6 analog synthesizers with original owners manuals, and original power supply and hand grip for the SH-101. Sale also includes an On Stage 3 tiered adjustable keyboard stand. I’m also including a cable to sync the two synths through the CV Clock.
I am the original owner of these synths. I love these instruments, but I just don’t play them much anymore and I don’t have the space to set them up. All keys on both synths work perfect and both units power on no problem.
Some things to note:
I replaced the faulty factory power switch with a small toggle switch on the SH-101 several years ago. The faulty switch was causing the unit to go out of tune and I couldn’t find an exact replacement switch at the time, so unfortunately the unit is not 100% original now. It’s still a very fun and playable synth and all functions work properly.
The Juno 6 works great and has a massive fat sound, but there is some static when adjusting the volume knob and the hold button is touchy.
Please keep in mind these synthesizers are over 30 years old! They’re still very playable, a lot of fun and have that classic Roland analog sound. They could probably use a good servicing by someone that knows how to work on them. I’ve taken good care of these units, they’ve never been dropped, banged around or abused. “Roland MKS-30 with Kiwi-Technics-30 Mod already installed.
This is essentially a hybrid of a Roland JX3P (oscillators) and Juno 106 (envelopes and filter) in a 2U rack. Thanks to the Juno filters, it has a more refined sound than the JX3P, but it still retains the crucial features of 2 DCOs and 3 envelopes of the KIWI mod….putting into Jupiter 6 territory. Actually smoother than a Jupiter 6 (I had one next to it for comparison for a while). If you like the Juno 106 sound but wish it had more advanced features, this is your dream synth.
Also including 6 extra original Juno voice chips that I pulled from my 106 when I upgraded to Analog Renasiance chips. This unit still has the original chips but they have been refurbished, so with this unit you’ll have a total of 12 original Juno chips…plenty to last you if you’re a stickler for the original sound (as am I).

There are 5 keys that don’t make any sound (marked with blue tape in the last photo) and a handful of keys have you have to hit fairly hard to work; I think the electrical contact may need to be cleaned. I am not the original owner and have not tried to fix the issue. All the other buttons appear to work but I haven’t tested everything.

Unit has been recently cleaned and the internal battery replaced (it’s good for many years to come).
Unit has some signs of age (after all it’s been in the service since 1987) but overall, it’s a decent unit. Please look at pictures carefully and ask questions if you want. As common in many (if not ALL) D50s, I don’t thin the aftertouch is working, but that doesn’t affect its functionality at all.

“Voice 5 doesn’t work after I replaced the voice and filter chips with Borish parts. I also replaced ic 34 and 35.
I still can’t get voice 5 to work after this. I don’t want to invest any more time on this machine.
Other physical issues are:
Missing both end cheeks
Two bent faders
The sub fader is broken
The bender is broken
The main board is missing several stand off.
Also the very last key is broken.
The panel seems to be in good condition. The buttons are still blue and not faded.
