“This is a vintage Roland Juno 106 that works, but will need some repair for it to function normally. It was pulled out of my brothers storage space after many years of idleness. There wasn’t a power cable with it so I had to buy a special two prong cable that it needs. I’m not a synth wiz but I’ve done the best I could to describe the problems below!

It seems like these models have a known “voice chip” problem. I’ve noticed that the first 4 voice chips seem to be working and the last 2 of them are not, simply because the first 4 notes played will be heard, and the next 2 won’t. The pitch bender feels a little loose in the spring. It bends down and springs back up on its own, but when bending the pitch up it tends to slowly come back compared to the former, which comes back up immediately. Both up and down DO work though whether you are using it for pitch or for the filter, but I noticed that I couldn’t get any LFO sounds when pressing the wheel forward. The LFO though seems to be working fine when I put it on the automatic setting. My guess is that the spring in the pitch bender needs replacing since it does feel a little loose.

All the keys tested fine and activated (accept when there was a bad voice chip about to be played obviously!) both chorus settings worked, as well as the oscillator, frequency, and ADSR sections. Basically all the sliders and buttons made a difference when adjusting them. The presets work too. Cosmetically it doesn’t look too bad at all for how old it is and I think it still looks pretty nice!

I am not sure how much work this will require I’ve done a little research about these in order to gain some knowledge for this listing but again. I’m not an expert by any means, and even though I’ve gone through all the different functions as best I could, and I want to be clear that there could possibly be other issues that are just not apparent to me. “For sale is a rare Roland Juno 60 synthesizer which is highly sought after and iconic . The keyboard works great and was played in my studio for many years , however it is SOLD AS IS . There is very minor signs of use and mild scuffs here and there but it includes all original pieces and is in stunning shape for its age . The sound is extremely rich and beautiful analog bliss . ” Synth has sticker on the back that says it was serviced in 1998 by Roland service. I’ve had it since ~2012. I purchased from someone on craigslist locally. The guy kept it covered with the black cover seen in the photos. I’ve kept great care of it ever since as I do with all my equipment. All voices work fine and controls work great.

**The only issue it has is the LFO delay slider goes from a little to a bit more towards the low end of the slider span. ie it jumps in value a bit.

This was much more noticeable when the slider was on the cuttoff frequency. I switched the two sliders because I didn’t care that the LFO delay had this sudden jump as It did on the cutoff. Honestly you probably wont even notice as it doesn’t jump that much. Maybe a value of 20 in terms of standard 1-127 in midi cc values.” Click here to search for synths on eBay
