“This is a vintage Roland JX-8P synthesizer. The keyboard is in good, used condition, but is NOT perfect. Two of the keys – marked with blue tape on them – do not work. On the inside, it looks like wood was added, and the plastic where the screws screw into is broken. It is missing screws, and some of the screws on the bottom casing are not original. It has scratches / scuffs. I am not an expert, so it may have more problems than listed. It does come with a power cord, but NO other accessories are included. “The unit is in fair condition, with some moderate scratching and scuffing from regular use. The plastic parts have some UV discoloration, a normal thing from an item of this age. The synth has been confirmed to power up, illuminate LEDs, the display, and respond to input as detailed by the manufacturer. Unfortunately, the unit does not produce sound, therefore it is being sold As-Is, For Parts or Repair. All switches, faders, knobs, buttons, keys and the pitch modulation bender operate smoothly with no grittiness or resistance. A power cable will be included with the unit. ” For parts or repair the high keys are not functioning other than 3 keys. a little more than half the keys do work. the contacts have been cleaned my best guess is it has worn out carbon contacts. i do not have the time to repair or diagnose the issue so am selling for parts or repair. the keyboard does turn on and boot and produces great sound with they keys that are functioning. ”

“Hail the mighty SH1000 which was used on the BLUE PETER THEME TUNE! and other better tracks, its a nice machine, I’m getting rid of it as I don’t play it anymore… its got a nice noise, and it makes some nice sonic squeeks…Some keys that have been repaired by the previous owner, the panels on the side have a tiny groove cut into them. None of this effects the item, the synth still looks great in my opinion for something that was made in the 1970s.I don’t trust the postie with analogue synths, so sorry you will have to pick it up!”
