“For sale is a fully functional Roland Juno-60, just serviced. It had a few issues which have all been fixed (a few faulty components replaced and traces repaired with jumpers). As well, the PSU has been recapped and the synth has had a full 8-hour burn in. Cosmetically, it looks pretty good with a few minor scuffs on the sides and some dents on the top that you’d expect from a vintage synth that has been played. That being said, the back bottom of the top panel has seen some action and is slightly bent/warped, which does not affect playability of course. It is also missing one of the hinges that connects the panel to the board underneath. Other than those items described, this synth is fully functional and is fun to play. Since it is a vintage instrument, however, it is being sold as is.”

” Juno 60, in great working condition. Just had one of the 3 position toggle switches replaced along with the internal battery. The internal battery was soldered from the factory, so an optional battery holder was added in place of the original battery to make future battery replacements 100% solder free.

New dust protection for slides and toggles. The toggle and slide switches are somewhat protected by the manufacturer installed foam dust protectors. The problem with the OEM foam is it becomes brittle with age, then falls apart. Replacement dust protectors, made from laser cut black felt, are an upgrade to the original foam type that does eventually fail. Felt material will never need replacing.

Cosmetically, the end caps are in less than stellar condition. The vinyl wood print glued on pressboard has started to detach. This, of course, does not effect the function of the keyboard in any way. My thought was to fabricate a pair of new ends, and replace them both with solid teak or oak. There is no doubt it would be a huge improvement, but it was decided to leave as-is for the purists that might want a completely original keyboard. ”

“Full disclaimer on why this is listed for parts: Electronically everything on this machine is in perfect working order, except for some of the sliders being rather sticky and stubborn from not being used in quite some time. It is quite possible that a good dose of deoxit faderlube could restore them to good condition, at the worst you may have to physically pull apart and clean the internals of each slider (there are tutorials and guides online showing how to do this).
Otherwise all buttons switches and toggles work well, all patch memory storage can still be easily recalled including the two hidden banks 6 and 7. Not in the most glorious physical condition, but does not affect the performance. No midi option installed, but there are several available including a newer one which connects to the DCB port and communicates via USB.”

“This Roland Juno 60 has had a long and productive life. I am selling as is and not working, although it does work as an analog synthesizer, however the presets are not loaded as the memory has gone bad. I was able to reload them using the procedure on the web, but as the battery was no good, the presets eventually were “forgotten” again. I opened the case and replaced the battery, which is for holding these presets in memory – but then decided to sell as I fell into some new keys and no longer needed this absolute juicy beast of an analog synth.

It’s dinged up through the years. At some point electrical tape was applied to the ends and I never removed until I decided to sell, so the ends are a little tacky even after I cleaned it up. You’ll find cosmetic blemishes throughout. Two of the fader sliders are bent down and have no knobs, you can see in the photos. Also, there is some felt missing from one of the 3-stage switches on the face. There are missing case screws on one of the hinges and elsewhere. The ground prong on the power cable was ripped out before a gig once (the show must go on) so that is missing as well.

Other than these telltale signs of a long and happy life, and the missing presets, which I believe can be permanently replaced if the memory issue is fixed with the new battery, this is a functional and lovely sounding Roland Juno 60.” Click here to search for synths on eBay

Still has sounds when it fires up, as I understand it that means the battery is still good, but I’ve never had to change it so it’s probably due.

The only noticeable cosmetic flaw is the shallow ding above the VCA slider. I showed it on purpose in the glare on the one photo, it is normally hard to discern.

“Roland Juno-60 61-key polyphonic synthesizer. This synth is about 35 years old, but is in very good condition for its age. All keys, sliders, switches, bender, filters, chorus, patch bank, etc. are fully functioning.

There are two exceptions. The biggest issue is the arpeggiator. It works currently, but it is stuck in the “up & down” and “range = 2” positions. I recently purchased the two 3-point arpeggiator toggles you see in the photos from Syntaur.com – I put them in the right spot, but now they simply need to be soldered to the circuit board. (Note that the yellow “Hold” button cap was also a replacement purchase from Syntaur.com)

The lesser issue is that the “Key Transpose” button will turn on, but it won’t turn off consistently. This problem goes away if you restart the synth. I expect that this is also an easy fix for someone who knows some basic synth maintenance techniques. ” Click here to search for synths on eBay

“Used Juno 60 for sale, powers on and plays, however every 6th key doesn’t sound, I was told by a technition it is probably a bad voice chip. Sold as is, up for your own investigation. Otherwise is pretty good condition. The VCF slider by the bender is also not operational, I bought it this way and played it for years with no problems. I bought a replacement slider for it but never got around to soldering it. A replacement slider is included for the buyer. It has custom exotic hardwood sides and front trim, a big upgrade from the stock fake plywood faux wood. This unit is sold as it. The price of these Juno 60s are going through the roof. “There’s plenty online about the Roland Juno 60, and if you’re looking to buy one chances are you know all about it already so I won’t list technical spec etc here.

I bought this Juno 60 from the original owner around 20 years ago. It’s been used in the home on and off but more recently has been stored in my loft. I decided to move it on simply as I realise storing it but not using it is keeping it out of circulation and there will be an enthusiast out there who would love to own and use it!

It’s in very good physical condition as you can see from the photos. Some slight knocks and bumps but nothing more than you’d expect from an instrument of this age. I’ve plugged it in and played it today and so far as I can tell everything is working as it should. To be absolutely clear the volume knob creates a crackle when you turn it as do some of the keys and some keys occasionally lose contact – but I suspect this would be easily sorted. To be honest the more I played it this morning the more these issues reduced so it could just need to stay in use for a while, but I wanted to be clear about this issue up front. ”
