“Excellent condition Alpha Juno 1 serviced by me.
In addition to a thorough cleaning (including the keybed), I’ve swapped the stock solder-to-board 3v battery with a battery holder that allows for a user installable CR2032.
I’ve gone ahead and added a new battery for the next owner. All ROM sounds are restored and in memory. User banks are blank.
In addition to the above, and most important, I’ve replaced the backlight which as you can see is bright blue. A quick Google search will reveal the pain of replacing the often failing screens in AJ1s (that’s why so many are sold unserviced).
Finally, I’ve calibrated the unit per the Roland service manual.

“This a vintage analog polyphonic Roland Alpha Juno synth. A great way at getting a classic Juno sounds cheaper than the other models. The synth is in great condition, except for a small crack near the power switch…. this does not affect playability and the structure of the synth is still solid. The synth works perfectly except for the backlight for the screen is a bit faint, but you can still see the values on the screen… you may want to get a new bulb at some point. This comes with a Roland MSQ 100 digital sequencer, i bought this recently but never got around to trying it out. The unit powers up ok and I was told by the previous owner that it worked fine, but I don’t have midi cables to test out the unit…. b/c of this, I’m saying the sequencer is untested. ”

“This unit has been tested and all functions work. The aftertouch has become weak over the years but this is typical of this synth. In the past year it has been thoroughly cleaned inside and out. A new battery has been installed and the aftertouch has been overhauled to work to the best of its ability, though weak as mentioned (aftertouch works 100% via MIDI). All original sound patches are present as well.
