” This Alpha 1 comes from a smoke free home. Everything is working fine, all keys are level with no yellowing, Preset buttons, Alpha dial etc. The screen is strong for a synth of this age. My other Alpha screen has been gone for years, but you can still read everything fine. Again, this one’s screen is fine. This has been stored in the included original case for years. Included is the original manual, power cord and case with strap. There is a small hairline crack on the units back left. I didn’t notice it until taking pictures. Only a matter of time before these gems start going up like the bigger brothers. My two cents. ”

Cosmetically it’s in excellent shape, I could only find 1 very small ding in the lower right corner. “Fully working, has some dinks and scratches, and some velcro stuck to it (I probably could’ve taken it off, but didn’t have time) has a couple of dinks on some keys(see pics) and writing is a bit faded in parts(see pics, Also screen is dull (see pics), general condition for age, BUT, it works and sounds awesome, I had it hooked up wit DT300 controller to really expand the sounds, as well as an arpeggiator, but of which are for sale on my items. I can’t recommend enough to get all 3, better thsn a 106! Plus never hurts to play a little bit of HOOVER sound! Booom”

“The price is set lower as this keyboard would benefit from servicing to sort out a couple of problems. There is one key (middle G) that is not working. This could just be a contact issue, in which case it should be an easy fix for anyone with the know-how, but not 100% sure, so selling as parts. The aftertouch is no longer working, but this is a pretty unavoidable issue withkeyboards from this era. Slight crack in body but has no effect. The keys have specially sourced stickers from when I was learning to play, these are easily removed and dont leave a residue if need be.

The aftertouch doesn’t work, but this is nothing unusual from a Roland keyboard of that era. Otherwise, perfect working order. Recently serviced by the Synth Prof, where the power supply was replaced for a switch mode one, meaning it will run on any voltage without adjustment, and no noise or overheating. I have had this keyboard since the early 1990s. It is in good condition, see photos, having been used at home. There are hardly any marks on it, just a few on the base where it has been on the stand.

Full working order apart from the aftertouch, which does not seem to be working. I believe that this is a common issue. I have not tested the MIDI in/out. It makes a bit of a whining noise when switched on, but it is not noticeable when you are playing it.

Case and manual included. The case has some knocks and tears in the vinyl covering, most of these have been glued down. There is a bigger tear on the bottom, about 20cm long, but that has been glued.
