“A rare find original synth kit that I purchased from the original owner. Condition is excellent. No corrosion and only minor wear on the cases. It has been tested and works (powers up and emits sound when connected). Included are the original patch cables (not all have been tested). Also included is “A GUIDE FOR USING THE PAIA 4700/S SYNTHESIZER SYSTEM” printout with detailed information on each of the components.

“PAiA OZ Mini Synthesizer Organ FM polyphonic. Condition is Used.

Battery should be 12V, but I’ve been using a 9V battery. Had had replacement CMOS IC’s and is missing the capacitance expression board, a finish ring around the speaker, and has replacement non-original latches and handle.

The LED’s indicating the highest and lowest octave setting do not work.

I added some alligator clips as touch contacts where the capacitance board would connect. ”

“This is a real treasure and a great learning tool for synthesizers. This multi-voice synthesizer from the mid-1970s was built from a kit and worked when it was retired, though I can’t promise it will now. It is solid-state, though, so why not? The schematics, procedure instructions, glossary, and setting/operating instructions are included so you can experiment away. Learn how the various electronics produce the sounds and learn how to control them. This is a nice, quality device.

” A PAIA 6710 VOCODER ASSEMBLED. A RARE DISCONTINUED ITEM. ANOTHER PAIA KIT I BUILT. EVERYBODY KNOWS WHAT A VOCODER IS.
GREAT FOR PROCESSING VOCALS OR OTHER INSTRUMENTS. THIS WAS OVER $175 WHEN I BOUGHT THE KIT WITH THE FACEPLATE AN EXTRA $26. IT HAS NEVER BEEN RACK MOUNTED. I TESTED IT WITH A CD FOR PROGRAM INPUT, AND A OSCILLATOR FOR THE MODULATOR, AND WAS ABLE TO GET A MODULATED OUTPUT. SWEEPING THE OSCILLATOR IN THE AUDIO BAND GIVE A INTERESTING COMB FILTER /TIMBRE SHIFT TYPE EFFECT, WHILE RUNNING THE OSCILLATOR BELOW 100HZ, GIVES A GATED TREMOLO TYPE EFFECT IT. IT ALSO HAS A SWITCHABLE FUZZ EFFECT. A/C POWERED WITH A INCLUDED REGULATED DC SUPPLY. THE OWNER’S MANUAL IS ON THE PAIA DOWNLOADS PAGE.”

“Here we have a PAIA ThereMax Theremin which I built approximately 20 years ago and used very little.

It is 100% solid state and includes a “wall wart” DC power supply.

It is built inside of the PAIA wooden lectern case.

Very good condition! (this unit with the wooden lectern case costs over $230 from PAIA and then you have to build up all of the electronics and finish the lectern case).

Works as it should!

Note: there is a little bit of dust on the front panel knobs which I will clean off before shipping.”

“This listing is for one extremely rare Paia “The Drum” 5700P Analog Percussion Synthesizer. It is essentially a cab filled with 4 identical modules that can generate a sound that is suited to percussive analog tones. It can be triggered via any sound source, including other drums, eurorack, a drum machine, etc. (voltage trigger OR audio into the 1/4″ jack). Each voice also has CV in that tracks across a few octaves so they can also be used as a stand-alone synth voice for basslines, melodies, etc. if so desired.
The sound can be described as very raw and weighty, similar to other early analog percussion units like the Simmons SDSV and 808.
