Vintage Oberheim SEM module! 100% working. Face is in great shape!!!! All knobs, functions work great. The housing shows wear (bottom and sides). The output for low was modified to 1/4 inch. The unit appears to have been recapped properly- the original tropical fish caps are still there (never swap them unless you MUST… you will hear a difference) There has definitely been some work done inside- the 1/4 mod, recap, some wiring looks non original. BUT I always took it as it was serviced. The unit sounds and performs as it should but it has NOT been calibrated. Assume drift.
It tunes awesome and HOLDS tune, unlike my Minimoog LOL… which btw it was MADE for. As an expander for a mini, its ridiculous. And theres a mod you can do on your mini for CV out and you can control it from the mini!!! (It was called the “S”ynthesizer “E”xpansion “M”odule LOL) Thats how I’ve been using it and it kills. But I’m so tired of multi tracking chords note by note LOL!!!!

at the moment. Holy Grail for you vintage analog synth buffs. Dates to 1979.
cosmetically very nice, has a couple scratched keys and some normal age but
faces up well and not missing or broken knobs. Serial Tag on back stamped 6 Voice
I know these came in 4, 6 or 8 voice. no too many of this model made

powers on, some of the LED on the buttons on the left side just blink but the unit has No Sounds / output
all keys are there and move – not damaged – a couple are scratched.
Quite a rare unit and well worth the investment of having it brought back to life
I do not know a Synth tech that I can trust with this unit so I will leave it to you to
get it done right!

The main circuit board shows some corrosion (see pictures). The Capacitors were tested to be good, but the battery only showed .1V,
All buttons on the interface and the display were tested and were good (I plugged in the interface board into a working unit to test). So it appears that the problem is with the main board. Not sure it can be fixed. May be better off used for parts as the control board is in great shape.
Version 2 board.
Please note the scratch between the D and the X on the cover.”

“Vintage Oberheim DX in good working order. I purchased this back in the 90s and it’s been working ever since. Please see the pics for condition. It has a few scrapes on it here and there but it works fine. I was able to erase the memory and then program a new sample into it without issue. It looks like it may be the original battery in there but it hasn’t leaked or anything.
I’ve also included a set of chips with it that I did not test. The system has the ride cymbals setup in it right now and some crash cymbal chips and a different snare chip are included with the auction. I received these when I purchased it years ago. They should be working. If not, I think you can get new chips for these on the web pretty easily.
The only key that seems to be not working 100% is the Shaker2 key. It works if you press it a few times and then sometimes it works fine.

“Oberheim DMX drum machine recently refurbished with MIDI and custom features. Condition is Seller refurbished.
This DMX originally came to me in sad condition — random holes in the case, no voice boards and several other missing parts. I rebuilt it, filling the holes and repainting the front part, adding a full complement of Electrongate 1554E voice cards, replacing the other missing parts, adding the Electrongate MIDI upgrade, and just for fun, replacing the walnut end panels with maple ones, and replacing the red LED display with a green version (including a green gel filter over the display). In addition, I added a toggle switch on the rear panel that selects a completely different set of sounds for seven of the voice boards (all but the cymbals). At one setting, all sounds are the standard, original samples. The other setting selects alternate versions of the sounds.
The machine is completely functional, with the original factory sequences loaded, and all switches have been cleaned and work smoothly. Two of the switches do not have correct markings, but have been blacked out so the difference is hardly noticeable.
The rear panel has had several holes filled (with epoxy) and has not been repainted.
This is a unique version of the DMX, the drum machine used by so many groups in the 1980s.”

“Oberheim OB-XA vintage analog synthesizer. This is an original factory 6 voice model. The synthesizer is not working properly. There is a tone or noise, depending on which knobs you turn but no patches. All voice cards are working and light up one at a time when you trigger a note but they are out of tune. When I purchased the synth, all 6 voice cards already had new capacitors and all multi trimmers replaced. The power supply had also been recapped along with all new key bushings installed. The previous owner could not find anyone to do a calibration so decided to sell it. I also cannot find anyone to do a calibration within 7 hours of my home. It may need more than a calibration or it may not. It has scratches on the panel of synth and wear to the side panels. I am selling it AS IS or for PARTS only. Each voice board alone can sell for over 900.00 each. I am tempted to part it out because I can probably get a lot more money for it, however I really do not want to part it out over a one or two year period but stay tuned if I do not sell it. “Oberheim OB-8 Keyboard Synthesizer. Has Issues, Sold AS IS No Returns. Problem(s) possible in Autotune circuitry or S/H. top board mostly not working, makes sounds when keyed. Contacts need cleaning. In great cosmetic condition. Functions such as the panel, pitch bend and CPU operation & keyboard seem to work fine. Knobs need lubing. If you know a tech who is familiar with these problems it should be a keeper. It shows no signs of mold or misuse.”

“Hi friends and gear junkies. We have an Oberheim Mateix 6R. Great 80’s rack synthesizer. Hard to beat the sound of an obi. Add a little reverb on top of these sounds and you’ve got 80’s perfection! Unit functions perfectly. Volume fader failed on the front and was removed. It hasn’t effected anything use wise for me. I’ve used it in my studio setting and never had any volume issues. “Vintage Oberheim TVS-1A Two-Voice Analog Synthesizer in 100% Working Condition. Very well cared for with all original knobs with caps, all LEDs working, no sticky or dead keys, no dirty pots, no hum or crackling. There is one issue with the high “B” key being a bit higher than the row (please see pic). It does not affect function or playability. This TVS-1A will be meticulously packed with only new bubble-wrap in the first new box. Then, more new bubble-wrap inside the second new box. A 37″x30″x18″ double-walled box weighing in at 51 lbs. 4 oz. Includes two power cables, copy of the manual and schematics. Capable of deep analog saturation without losing clarity. The incredible sound one expects from vintage Oberheim SEM modules. In 1975, Oberheim created their first compact, programmable and polyphonic synthesizer by coupling two SEM modules to a 37-note keyboard and a simple analog sequencer. This was what became the Two Voice. Oberheim achieved a polyphonic sound not yet seen at the time by hard-wiring the two monophonic SEMs into the compact keyboard design. In 1976 Oberheim came out with another module, the Polyphonic Synthesizer Programmer. This could memorize the control voltages of many parameters for up to eight SEM modules. When these were added to the Two Voice in the form of the Mini-Sequencer, Oberheim finally had one of the earliest programmable and polyphonic instruments. Each voice has its own filter. The filter is unique and like no other, and apparently cannot be reproduced even by its own creator.
