“Bought this brand new from perfect circuit probably a year ago at this point. I bought it to interface my guitar effects into my eurorack system, but I never really ended up using it.

It managed to get a scratch to the faceplate that looks worse depending on the angle you look at. In most cases it really isn’t noticeable. Other than that everything’s good to go with this unit.”

“This listing is for one extremely rare Paia “The Drum” 5700P Analog Percussion Synthesizer. It is essentially a cab filled with 4 identical modules that can generate a sound that is suited to percussive analog tones. It can be triggered via any sound source, including other drums, eurorack, a drum machine, etc. (voltage trigger OR audio into the 1/4″ jack). Each voice also has CV in that tracks across a few octaves so they can also be used as a stand-alone synth voice for basslines, melodies, etc. if so desired.
The sound can be described as very raw and weighty, similar to other early analog percussion units like the Simmons SDSV and 808. PAiA Modular Synthesizer

” Travel back in time with this vintage synthesizer. I don’t know much about it. The keyboard unit is 37 keys. It is a kit unit. I cannot even figure out where the power switch is, let alone the amplifier output jack. I got it from an electronics engineer who never once used it, who got it from another electronics engineer who apparently assembled it in the 1970s.

Paia Electronics made kit synthesizers in the 1970s. I believe this is a completely homemade copy of a 1970s Paia synthesizer. The builder bought their own components and built and soldered their own circuit boards. I think it might be a Paia 2720 copy.

Unlike the Paia components in the various spec sheets and catalogs included, none of these components have the Paia stamp or Pais graphics, as shown in the literature. Among the literature included are: a 1974 Paia catalog; a 1975 Paia booklet without record; a 1975 Paia schematics symbology booklet; 17 old Paia component booklets with specs (a couple are doubles); a 1972 “Using the Paia 2720 Synthesizer” booklet; and some other spec sheets, including some on clear mylar.

It is truly untested. I plugged it in. I found one button that made a light turn on, but, other than that, I have no idea about it. It was in a clean and dry house for the last decade or so.” Click here to search for synths on eBay
