“Korg Poly 800ii, Key contacts were all cleaned, all keys are working as they should. Sliders all work- Pitch and mod work- Part of the trim ring around pitch level looks like it is missing. Has brand new power supply. Not sure how the sequencer works, was able to see it stepping thru, however I don’t know how to use it. Unit has some scuffs here and there but is good condition for its age. “Vintage 1970’s Korg Rhythm KR-55 analog drum machine. condition is Not Working and is offered for parts or repair. Mechanically, all functions appear to be working EXCEPT the bass drum sound. All other buttons, settings, switches, and lights appear to work. Cosmetically, the case has a chip and crack on one rear corner, and showing some paint wear to the control panel as can be seen in the pictures. No missing, bent or loose knobs or switches. The foot switch is not present.”

It is a perfect analog synth, six sound polyphonics with timbre memory.
Before exhibition, we replaced the sound protection battery with a new one, and it has returned to the factory preset tone of KORG.
In addition, 2 chips of VCF [SSM 2044], ordered genuine from overseas and replaced it for a new one.
It also has an arpeggiator and plays a very wonderful sequence.
Although there are small scratches and rubbing with use, I think that the state is a good one considering the times.

“Up for bid is my 1986 Korg Poly 800 II. I acquired this Synthesizer back in August, and after some use in my collection, I’ve decided to let it go. The keyboard itself is in good condition, but you can certainly tell it was a well loved synth. There is wear on the finish of the plastic, which reveals a shiny undercoating, however this does not affect the playing quality at all (see pictures for more details). It has a set of custom patches pre programmed through midi, so if you want the stock factory patches, I can certainly do that for you if you send me a message. It does come with a custom fitted gig case, but if you don’t need/want it just let me know! All of the keys are in perfect working order, and there are no mechanical flaws whatsoever. “Korg Polly mk2 with Moog slayer mod. Comes fully working. Generally the condition is good but, it is old and does have signs of use. There is also a faint postcode that has been written with what looks like a security marker pen, but is hardly noticeable.
It has the Moog slayer mod fitted. Filter and resonance pots. This thing is a beast and it is advised that you used a limiter as you could damage your speaker (or your hearing) if it’s played really loud. But you have the ability to dial it back so it’s not so crazy.

“Synth is cosmetically in great overall condition but has recently stopped working, it still lights up but I’m getting no sound and the display lights up but is now blank – I’m not sure why. I don’t have the original power adapter, but I have been using a standard 9V adapter which has worked fine for years – this is not included as I still need it. One of the knobs is missing on he portamento but can still be used without it or could be changed with one of the other knobs if needed. This keyboard was a victim of battery leakage. The repair shop I took it to tried their best to fix the issues. But, problems still remain. So, it is being sold, “as is”, for parts or repair.
The good:
– Outputs work
– All keys work*
– Memory works (new, jury-rigged, replacement battery)
– Joystick works
– All functions and modes work (poly, chord memory, hold, arpeggiator, tuning, tape load, arpeggio in, etc.)
– LED displays and lights work
The bad:
– Buttons 1, 2 & 3 are hard to get to work with just one touch – usually triggers multiple times
– Missing one screw (and its cam screw on the back side) on the top panel
– *Bottom C, C# and middle C# have contact issues
– Missing one rubber foot on bottom
& The Ugly:
– Back, bottom-right corner is broken off (see pictures)
– Joystick is bent
– Dings and scrapes

“First, it should be clear that this is a USED, VINTAGE synthesizer/keyboard. This is from the estate of a jazz player who used this for several years. It shows signs of wear and use, and while it has been tested out extensively by another jazz player, we cannot be certain that every combination of options have been tried and tested… a really great musical tool, but it is what it is!!! The only noted minor issue is that the Bb3 key is slightly bent to one side and occasionally sticks a little. I don’t expect that this is hard to adjust, but I am not a keyboard technician, and if I paid one the price might go too high. “Original KORG MS-20 mfg. between 1978 and 1983. Made in Japan. Being sold as “parts not working” because there are some scratchy pots and I am not a good enough synthesis person to accurately test how this is supposed to sound. Here’s what I know: It powers up and when I open up the filters all the way it seems to sound like it should. Here is what I have been able to test as best I can and feel confident listing: All keys working with no sticky keys. Both VCOs work (waveform select, tuning, octave, mix) seem to work as should. Filters (1 high pass and 1 low pass) with peak (resonance) also seem to work as should. All the Envelope Generator stages seem to control ADSR as they should and the modulation generator (LFO) seems to work as should. Portamento too. What I am not sure about is the modulation wheel. When I patch out of the Mod Wheel CV out jack I can get it to work on by patching into one of the VCO in jacks changing the pitch of one of the VCOs (not sure which one) and it only bends up. I am not sure what the button below the mod wheel does and don’t know how to test it. Again, the main reason sold as parts-not-working is the scratchy pots issue and I am not sure how to program and really test all the patch points to know if it is working 100% properly. Please make sure you are OK with that before bidding. Feel free to ask questions and if there is something you want me to test I will be happy to do so and report back. A bit history on this… I purchased it in late 1993 and it has sat in my smoke-free office unused since. So it essentially not been powered up for the last 25 years. Instrument side:
Elec Bass LED always on (doesn’t Cancel) No sound either from this preset.
Tuba never switches on, so no response from this one either.
the other 4 work as intended, including trim pots.
Synthe side:
LEDs will light & cancel, but none are sounding.
I have a feeling this will centre around the filter chip rather than the buttons. Similar to the common fault in the Korg Delta. The parts are still available.
The left hand side of the panel is fully working, input, portamento/ interval/ tune/ octave all 100% on the 4 working voices. Still great fun to be had with this alone! Glitchy, Prog-type fun & Octave effects a-plenty!
Synthe filter knob not working, again pretty sure this is related to the synthe side. Possibly these tones go through the filter chip & the instrument side is filtered by resistors etc, as you have no control over those.”
