This synth suffered extremely little damage from the original battery and as such is a very good choice for someone looking to grab a Poly-61.

Sounds great and can be smooth or noisy & rough , similar to dx100 in terms of aliasing and good bass sounds.
Has quick edit sliders for envelopes and timbre so you can tweak as you play.
49 keys with velocity and mono aftertouch. Pitch and mod wheels.
It has been circuit bent with 8 switches on the data lines to make some weird noises.
This sometimes corrupts patches but all patches can be backed up and restored from the memory card.
A few scratches but no cracks in the case, buttons all work. See images . Sounds good, but I have to many FM synths.”

“An original korg-ms20 in good condition. Kept in a smoke and dust free studio, the item has never been gigged by me in 4 years of ownership.
I bought the synth refurbished but have not had it looked at since then. The volume / power pot is slightly crackly.
There are slight chips on two of the keys, as displayed in the photos.

“Selling my very special and rare Korg 770. This synth is in incredible condition for 42 years old. Cosmetically it has some signs of wear and a hand full of the original knobs have been replaced as you can see in the photos. Everything works. Not only does everything work, I have also retrofitted the synth with a Kenton CV kit so there is cv control over Hz/V, gate, and filter. Sequencing this machines notes and filter is INSANE. You can integrate this with an analog sequencer or kenton midi to cv box (or any other cv source even a korg sq-1). Last year I also had Rosen Sound in Los Angeles install a midiplant so not only can you control the synth via cv, you can also trigger notes via the midi port on the back with a quick flip of a rear toggle switch. I personally still prefer the control and resolution of straight cv. The synth is really incredible and I’ve sampled more sounds from it than any other instrument I own. Have a listen to some demos on youtube if you aren’t familiar. This machine is from another planet. The serial number is 770073 and it was one of the first units produced. Extremely rare and hard to come by for good reason. Also including a custom made dust cover.
Unit is being sold as is due to its age. It has been very well taken care of and had a complete service just over a year ago. While it was in the shop they cleaned up all solder connections and any oxidized connections.”

“The synth part can create some nice bleeps and bouncy basses while the strings section is perfect for recreating THAT classic 80s string sound.
The synth section can be fairly quiet and tends to create static when pushed over a certain volume but the strings work fine and have been used for home recording projects.
Bought in a music store in New York, the machine uses US voltage, but this comes with a transformer as well as a nice soft flight bag. ”

“I was given this by an old gearhead who worked with Blur.
Unfortunately it doesnt function properly and emits a piercing noise when turned on and thats it, no keys or buttons work.
Im fairly certain the fault is battery leakage and needs a new motherboard (a kiwisix for example) although I am just making an educated guess and could be wrong.
It has been slightly modified by adding MIDI capabilities which raises the value of the synthesizer significantly.
If you can get it working then you have a rare gem on your hands as its a truly spectacular machine. ”

Sadly battery leakage has garbled the sound.
This can be fixed for around 200 pounds for a replacement board or you can get the more expensive kiwi board.
It has various scuffs and chips on the wood part.
