Up for auction is a Korg Poly 61 synthesizer from the early 80’s.
It is being sold as is.
When you turn it on, some of the button’s lights come on, but pressing the buttons doesn’t turn off the lights and the LED patch number doesn’t come on.
Also, no output.
It looks pretty clean though.
Hopefully someone out there can bring it back to life.

“Vintage 1982 Korg Poly-61 Synthesizer – Partially Working For Parts/Repair Only. This powers on and the displays (Program no, Parameter, Value) change as they should when you press the buttons. I tested the sound with headphones but did not have an amp to hook up to it for testing. I got sound through the headphones when I pressed some of the keys, but not others. I’m not sure if that’s because of settings that needed changed or if an amp is required, because I know very little about these machines. It may work completely and correctly but I am not sure, so it is being sold as parts or repair ONLY. The joystick is present and straight. There is some slight damage to 2 of the corners as shown in the pics. Photos show the actual item you will receive. This includes ONLY the Poly-61, no additional items. Local pickup welcome. We will combine shipping when possible.”

“Vintage Korg DW-6000 Analog /digital Hybrid Synthesizer 1984 Great condition!. Condition is Used.
“Korg Poly-61 Analog Synthesizer sold AS IS for parts or repair. This is partially working and powers up and has sound output (tested with headphones). Led display lights change as they should when buttons are pressed. The frequency and arpeggio speed knob lights flicker faster and slower when the knob is turned. Cosmetically it is in decent shape except the wood side panels are beat up. The other issues are only about half the keys produce sound. This could be because it needs a good internal cleaning or some other issue. Judging by the amount of exterior cleaning I did there is probably a lot of internal dust. The joystick is slightly bent but still functions as it should. And it is missing one of the rubber feet on the bottom. Due to its age and condition there may be other issues not yet found in my testing. This is a great project to refurbish or to part out. From a smoke free environment. ”

“I had my tech replace the disk drive and checked the unit over. Please review the pics with the color tabs on them as those keys action are a little off and could use additional keys to make it ideal for playing although you can play the keys fine as they are. The middle black sharp Ab/G# is bent a little but playable which It probably could be adjusted and repaired. The keyboard comes with with 6 DSS1 floppy disks. This is a great pickup for a DSS-1 keyboard with great analog filters.”
