“Auction is for a used Korg DW8000 Synth. Tested parts are volume, tone, arpeggiator and programmer controls. All work as intended. Analog osc/vcf/bend stick works. All keys work. A few of the lights for program/ parameter/value indicators work or don’t work at random. I hooked this to my guitar amp for sound test as there is no speaker on this. Has velcro tape in multiple places from precious owner. Everything else not listed is in unknown working order. My knowledge on this is limited, I bought a while back thinking I could use as a piano. “Like most polysix’s that haven’t been serviced in a while, this one has the relatively common battery leak issue. It’s not as bad as some I’ve seen online, but the board it’s on and all the connections around it will need to be clean and repaired. Otherwise, you’ll need to replace the board, but there are upgrade boards available that I know people often switch them out for anyways. Pretty much all of the keyboard function seems to still be working regardless, but a few of the lights will always be on whether the appropriate button has been pushed or not. The keys with pieces of sticky note on the have switches that need to be cleaned/repaired/replaced, but there may be a few more that need the same treatment. “This is my Korg 01W/FD in absolutely great condition. This unit was imported from Japan and I recently had the backlight replaced for the LCD. Floppy drive needs a new belt, however, this is not preventing the unit from working normally and all sounds, keys, buttons, etc are flawless.

Although the unit is from Japan, the power board has been converted to the US voltage. No need to use a step-down transformer with it.

” Very good condition for its age, everything works, all keys are in good working order, all connections on the back are perfect working condition. The numeric buttons do double click sometimes but its not too bad if you use a light touch, perhaps would benefit from being cleaned somehow.

One small pin hole on the top left corner of the synth; which fortunately is where most people put the filter cut-off knob for the slayer mod.
