Korg Poly 61

“Korg Poly-61M completely refurbished, new oak chassis, new switches, Beautiful !

This synth was in very good condition, even before I refurbed it. I just wanted to create the best possible P-61M I could. It has never had a battery leakage, although I have updated the battery to a modern 3.6V lithium coin battery (2032) with an easy access battery holder. I refurbished the keyboard, cleaning it thoroughly piece by piece, and after polishing all the contacts, I applied the little carbon discs to each contact, as seen at sounddoctorin.com. It’s a brilliant fix, so now the keys play like new. Then I replaced all the program buttons’ switches with brand new ones, which fixes the annoying problem of not getting the buttons to work properly. Now, they are perfect. See the photo of the switch board with new (blue) switches. Then I built a brand new solid oak chassis for the synth, so as you can see, it is gorgeous, and now more solid than new. It was finished with a Satin Ebony polyurethane that goes very well with the gray panel. All pots lubricated, new knobs, all bolts and inserts for the chassis are new, and new rubber feet. Korg MEX-8000

” This is a very rare memory expander (like a memory card) for several mid 80’s Korg synthesizers. It is to be used with the DW-8000, EX-8000, DW-6000, Poly 800 mk2, EX-800, SDVP-1, and SDD-330. It has four banks of storage, each with 64 patches per bank. One awesome feature is that each of the banks can be used as storage for any of the aforementioned units. You can have one bank dedicated to a DW-8000 and another bank dedicated to an EX-800 and so on. Or of course you can use all 256 patches for one synth.

The unit has some cosmetic wear and is missing one of the button tops (which does not affect it’s usage). The unit is completely functional and has been recently used with my Korg DW-8000 (see pictures).”

Korg 01W/FD Project Machine

“Have not extensively tested this unit, but it would appear to function in all major respects. However, item has certain issues so is being sold as a ‘for parts or not working’/’spares or repairs’ unit with no possibility of return even if issues are discovered in addition to those described in this listing. Cannot guarantee that there are not additional issues as yet undiscovered.

– Outer casing has sustained some damage during transit – see photos (have retained the two small broken-off pieces of plastic, which could be glued back into place (see final photo)).
– Disk drive is slightly out of alignment with casing (sustained at time casing was damaged during transit) and would appear not to be working (have no discs to test, but drive activity LED does not light up. For the purposes of this listing, drive is non-functional).
– Main display (LCD) backlight is dead (display itself is fully functional, though not so easy to read without a backlight).
– When playing (factory) programs, there can occasionally be a delay of a few seconds (no sound as one plays the keyboard) when selecting another program as the unit ‘loads up’, as it were, the next program (not sure if this normal behaviour, or not?).
– Red LED within ‘Bank’ button appears not to function (but button itself works fine and switches between A/B banks as expected).
– One white key on keyboard has a surface scratch (not very noticeable), but is otherwise perfect.
– Long hairline surface scratch directly underneath mod/pitch bend lever.

“Great Digital waveforms, great analog waveforms. Built in delay is top notch. I would agree with Vintage Synth Explorer’s assertion that it makes a good acid bass machine.

“VINTAGE ANALOG JAPANESE KEYBOARD/KEYTAR. KORG POLY 800. FRESH LITHIUM CMOS BATTERY. Recently serviced and loaded with factory sounds. Keys are in good shape with no discoloration and good action. All features function as intended, including save and load. Unit is used and shows signs of wear on the paint along the edges as is outlined in the pictures. Included is the original user manual, factory programming sheet, and a 9v 300mA power supply (radio shack circa 2002 not oem).”

“KORG POLY 61 Synthesizer Vintage analog. Needs care. Powers up but sound output is erratic. keys may be dirty. I don’t know.
Cosmetically in good shape. I think it could be brought back to life.

So. the sound output is erratic. In some patches you press a key and sound comes out, some you have to hit hard to make a sound. Some patches, when you hit a key the note holds. some keys and patches don’t produce a sound at all.”

“Up for your consideration is a Korg SR-120 Wood Grain unit. It is very nice condition functionally and cosmetically. All switches, pots, outputs, triggers, etc., work as they should. This unit will not disappoint. I tried to capture a pic of the LED’s (see the last pic). The Rhythm A LED is lit as is the Tempo LED. Difficult to see with the lighting but all LED’s work as they should. ”
