“I acquired this along with a load of other bits of vintage audio gear, and I can’t get this running sadly. It’s not totally dead, you power up and you can hear the output relay energise after a few seconds, but that’s about your lot. I suspect the CPU itself has died, but if you have a spare board or know these synths in details…
The Keyboard as a whole is complete, but it is missing all the screws that hold the casing together – the previous owner had obviously took it apart and put the screws somewhere safe, known only to him. If you’re thinking of having a go with it, then this is as far as I got:
PSU – Replaced the 7905 and 7805 regulators, powers up fine and gives correct voltages as per the service manual. Also replaced mains switch and re-wired although currently on a flying lead as I don’t have the correct C-9 mains connector, although one on order so will be here by the time this auction ends.
CPU board – Battery had corroded, removed battery cleaned PCB and fitted new battery with a holder. Left overnight to completely empty ram, still would not fire up. Powered up just the CPU board externally on the bench, not drawing excessive current on any of the supplies. Tried also pressing 5 + 8 on power up etc.. nothing, hence the assumption that the CPU is dead.” Click here to visit listing on eBay

1980’s Korg Polysix, with Manual. I played this in the late 80’s and early 90’s and has been sitting in the closet for a couple decades. It turns on, lights come on, but has no output. Obvious battery damage, common to the Polysix, on circuit board shown in photos. I do not know if there are issues besides the battery leakage damage. “korg 707 performing synthesiser for sale in perfect working order and good clean condition, bought new in 1989 from tempo music in London and owned by me ever since.
The keyboard actually uses a Yamaha licensed circuit board inside and it sounds very much like a 4 operator dx100/27 fm synth.
On the top panel it has a pitch bend and mod wheel which can be reversed if wearing as a keytar, and there is a volume control and 3 slider controls which allow you to create new sounds easily without having to delve in to submenus like other keyboards do.
This keyboard was launched by Korg just before the m1 was released and it shares the smooth phillishave appearance of the m1 with its smooth round edges and teddy bear eyes tactile push buttons.
The 3.3 volt battery was changed last year and 1 key was replaced and I had all the electronic components tested for functionality by my technician and everything is working fine.
The keyboard comes with a paper manual a power supply and software on a disc which I bought on here that will allow you to transfer sounds and System exclusive data between computer and keyboard and allows ds8 sound patches to be loaded in to the 707.
There are sound cards available but they are rare and hard to find so luckily there is a free sound editor available to download for mac and pc which will allow you to create your own voices without loads of button pressing and going through sub menus.” Click here to visit listing on eBay

“This is the last of two Korg Polysixes which we have meticulously refurbished over many days. This unit has a new CPU board installed.
The synthesizer has had the following work undertaken:
Keys removed from keyed and individually cleaned, together with the keybed PCB contacts and rubber actuator.
A full PSU recap
New KLM-367A replacement board installed from Synthtronics
All 19 tact switches have been replaced with quality Omron switches.
LED on Manual button has been modded with an amber light together with an amendment to the resistor.
Each knob and switch cap has been through a Retrobrite process (to de-yellow) – it looks stunning.
All potentiometers and switches have been cleaned, lubricated and deoxidised.
Each screw has been removed and deoxidised to give a classy “gun metal” appearance.
Finally, it has fully calibrated and the factory patches re-loaded.

I added the super rare Angel City Turbo Mod last year, but sadly I couldn’t get the sticker for the front face. The Turbo Mod’s manual is included. The internal battery has been replaced, and a new battery and holder is included.. Also included is the original EPROM, as is all kinds of extra key pads, inputs, and any other spare parts I have.
