“Korg Poly-800 Vintage Polyphonic Synthesizer, rare reverse keys model. This synth powers up but does not make much noise. The internal battery compartment/lid is missing as the batteries leaked and destroyed them. It is supplied in a home made flight case which needs some TLC, the foam smells like it’s breaking down and needs replacing. Definitely a project for someone who knows how to repair old kit. “The Rare and Vintage Korg V.C.F (Voltage Controlled Filter) FK-1 Synthepedal from 1975 is probably one of the first (and maybe best) guitar synthesizers. This Korg device has had 1 previous owner from new, and is in excellent visual condition for its age of almost 50 years, apart from a few small paint chips and minor marks on the front, and is in perfect working order.
This device is also a rare 240 Volts UK model, compared to other listings I have seen that are 100/120 Volts.
These 100/120 Volt models may require you to purchase an additional voltage converter, and may impact your sound quality.
The pedal is also in great condition with minimal marks upon it.

“This 61M has recently been serviced and comes in a beautiful, brand new walnut chassis. New battery, new switches, cleaned keyboard contacts. Plays and sounds great. Cosmetically the synth is near perfect with only a few very small, hardly noticeable scuffs. This Keytar has not been tested so selling as parts or not working.
Top five keys near neck feel stiff so would say not working and need attention, also one of the keys is chipped , these keys are still available on ebay , so should be easy to replace.
This keytar by the look of it has been well gigged . If you would like further pictures please get in contact and will happily take some more. Battery compartment and looks like it can be run from a power pack.
This is iconic 1980s keytar used by alot of artist back in the day. Very hard to come by now.

“I found out the sub-oscillator stops working from time to time and it seems to be a loose connector on the replaced board inside the synth. I first discovered this when I took the synth off its stand and placed it on a table. Before that the synth was working completely fine. So i figured out that when the sub oscillator stops, I need to open up the panel and gently touch the appropriate connector on the board, to move it just a little bit and then it all gets back to normal, so I assume it should be rather an easy fix. “I acquired this along with a load of other bits of vintage audio gear, and I can’t get this running sadly. It’s not totally dead, you power up and you can hear the output relay energise after a few seconds, but that’s about your lot. I suspect the CPU itself has died, but if you have a spare board or know these synths in details…
The Keyboard as a whole is complete, but it is missing all the screws that hold the casing together – the previous owner had obviously took it apart and put the screws somewhere safe, known only to him. If you’re thinking of having a go with it, then this is as far as I got:
PSU – Replaced the 7905 and 7805 regulators, powers up fine and gives correct voltages as per the service manual. Also replaced mains switch and re-wired although currently on a flying lead as I don’t have the correct C-9 mains connector, although one on order so will be here by the time this auction ends.
CPU board – Battery had corroded, removed battery cleaned PCB and fitted new battery with a holder. Left overnight to completely empty ram, still would not fire up. Powered up just the CPU board externally on the bench, not drawing excessive current on any of the supplies. Tried also pressing 5 + 8 on power up etc.. nothing, hence the assumption that the CPU is dead.” Click here to visit listing on eBay
