Well looked after example, plays and sounds great. I couple of bits of slight discolouration on the plastic which is unsurprising on these.

I’ve had this one modded to have an internal battery fitted meaning there’s no need to use batteries for patch memory.

“Here’s my Korg poly 800 synth for sale. Had it more than 30 years, still works a treat. It’s mostly un-modded…..the only change I have made is to add a holder for the internal battery (that maintains the flash memory). For some reason when they were built this battery was soldered in…. very odd! Battery was replaced a couple of years ago.

The synth is mains powered….the original adapter is included….but can also be powered by 6 D type batteries if you need mobility.

Everything is in working order….the on/off/volume knob is a bit scratchy but there’s no dropping out. The joystick for pitch bend and modulation works fine, as do the midi in/out sockets and the tape in socket. I had to reset all the patches to their factory settings when I replaced the internal battery.” Click here to visit listing on eBay

“Barely used since I bought it about 10 years ago.

Patches are saving onto internal memory but no factory patches remain. No idea when or if the internal memory battery was replaced. Remember using the midi back in the day so pretty sure that works but haven’t tested the tape ports but nothing to suggest they don’t work.

End key is very slightly skewed but still works fine.

Seems to be a few screws missing from the back plate but its solid and you wouldn’t know without looking.
