“I am selling my rare Korg MS2000R synthesizer. I used it with Korg Kontrol 49 keyboard. It works great, especially with other Korg keyboards, midi keyboards, etc. Its an external synthesizer compared to the synthesizer keyboard of the same brand. I will include the original power cord. Only problem is on the back, where the synthesizer can be opened, it seems as if its been attempted to be prided open, you cant see the components and it doesnt affect the functionality. “I have owned this synth from new, bought in 2002 and it is in fantastic condition. It’s in full working order and comes with original box & packaging, original manual (also in great condition) and original power adapter, as you can see in the pics. The only mark on it is a very small scratch on the top of the wood trim, left side (see pic 8). It has only had home studio use and I am only selling because I just don’t have the time anymore.”

“The MS2000R is, of course, the rackmount version of this beast. Although there is no keyboard and no real need for one, the 16 function buttons on the front of the unit can be switched into “Keyboard” mode in which they function as keys, mainly for demoing sounds while you’re programming it. This is a really great feature since most rackmount synths either don’t allow you to hear your progress from the actual unit or they only feature a one-note demo button to hear your sounds. This is a digital synthesizer which was designed to emulate the sound, features, and control/modulation possibilities of a classic analog synth. As with many Korg products this synthesizer is very well built and includes a number of innovative features and surprisingly flexible routing (… and it sounds amazing!). “Synth is cosmetically in great overall condition but has recently stopped working, it still lights up but I’m getting no sound and the display lights up but is now blank – I’m not sure why. I don’t have the original power adapter, but I have been using a standard 9V adapter which has worked fine for years – this is not included as I still need it. One of the knobs is missing on he portamento but can still be used without it or could be changed with one of the other knobs if needed. The LED next to the display screen has gone inside the unit but should be easily popped back through once the synth is opened up”
