“This auction is for a used working Korg Mono/Poly analog keyboard synthesizer. This synth has been stored for about a decade, kept clean and dry in a hard case. Prior to being stored the synthesizer was used in a smoke free studio for about 15 years. I am the second owner of this Mono/Poly. This synth is US shipped only.

The synth is working, it powers on and produces sound. Going through the synth all knobs and switches are working, all 4 voices, waveforms, noise source and the VCF/EG/VCA signal chain are working, all ins and outs are working. The arpeggiator works, latches and holds, and will cycle through the 4 vcos, warping them in a deliciously twisted manner when using the X-Mod effects in poly mode. All push button switches are working and all leds work. The pitch bend and modulation wheels both work. Both LFOs (MG1/2) are working on all waveforms at all rates.

Cosmetically the synth is in good condition. The metal casework and front panel are clean and legible with no dents and only minor wear. The factory particle board wooden sides suffer from fragility and are worn at the corners, ugly but purely cosmetic. The synth has not been modified in any way.

While the synth powers up and it is working it also exhibits the typical symptoms of a vintage analog synth coming out of long-term storage. The keyboard seems to have suffered the most during storage as there are now many intermittent keys. In addition most pots and switches exhibit audio signal noise when used. The synth will need servicing to be brought back up to spec. I am not a tech and it will be up to the buyer to determine any needs.” Click here to search for synths on eBay

“This is the one! All original knobs, buttons, switches, ends, etc. are present. In overall good condition- see pictures. Has some blemishes and scratches, but nothing obscene. Wood ends are dinged in places.

This unit is in excellent working condition. All notes and functions work as they should. It was serviced about two or three years ago by a famous Boston tech who used to maintain synths for the band the Cars, and who used to work for ARP. “I bought this from a collector who basically stored vintage synths and kept them in museum condition for years. I paid significantly more for this two years ago than is the average going price due to the amazing condition (see pix). The only marks it has are due to age but I’ve never seen one with all original parts in such great condition. It has never been toured and only kept in studio. When not used for recording this was always covered and protected carefully. It thus comes in truly amazing condition (all original which is very rare). It comes with the original 1982 manual and I will also include one of my large super secure hard Gator cases (with wheels). Just a note that the Gator case itself is well used (see pix) but is perfect for housing and looking after this synth.”
