“Up for auction is a Korg DW-6000 manufactured in the mid-1980s. This has had a replacement internal memory battery installation and a general strip down and clean. Patches have been reloaded on the synth. A small chunk of plastic from the casing was missing due to impact before I purchased the instrument, however, a new piece has been carefully and precisely glued in its place around the location of the power supply board, so this is now safe to use. The condition is by no means perfect as this is around 35 years old, so would be a great collector’s item, and the sound from this synth is astonishing just by playing around with some of its preset patches, so this has great potential!” Click here to search for synths on eBay

“Korg DW6000 Synth + Flightcase – Works but needs repair.

Basically the synth will turn on and play sounds but the filters are doing something weird. They get activated automatically and wobble a lot after holding a chord or single note.

It needs repair. All the keys and play perfectly although it could need a little refacing job for them to be all perfectly aligned.

This synth simply needs a full revision and it will rock for another 20 years.

“Here’s the deal.

This is the second one I’ve owned, and the second that’s crapped out on me in the same way.

I bought this one with some issues, notably some severed wires internally(?) and minor stuff (battery swap, controls needed cleaning).

Backplate was sanded and repainted from different unit because it had some surface rust (no water damage, I promise)

I got the thing fully functional- everything sounded like it should. Gloriously sharp 80s pads and the like.

And then I tried loading in the factory patches via tape dump

And that bricked the sucker.

Same whale noises as the first one that died the same way. The oscillators are working, but on power up it’s this big whooshing sound that drones on.

No idea if it’s a stuck bit somewhere or something dumb, but I’m stumped, and it’s hardly a coincidence that BOTH of them I’ve owned have done the same thing.

Please fix this damn thing and tell me what it was.”

“This vintage Korg synthesizer is in very good working condition.

Shop tested and sounds great.

The top of the unit has some cracks present: one on each side of the program parameter buttons and one between the value slide and the down/up buttons.

There were keyboard note stickers applied at one time, and some of these have fading and wear.

Includes power cord.

Includes the original case.

Case has heavy wear and surface soiling, with damage including (but not limited to) the top coming apart, as seen in the last picture.”

This is in good cosmetic condition and fully works, although Middle C key needs cleaning as it has stopped working (works over MIDI) so just needs a clean to the little rubber connector pad inside.
This is collection only as I don’t have a big enough box to put this in.
Connect this up to the free CTRL interface(google it) and tweak away and easily make new sounds.
Has the Original Factory presets installed and ready to go.
All buttons and sliders work as they should.
Comes with original Korg Power cable.

“First, it should be clear that this is a USED, VINTAGE synthesizer/keyboard. This is from the estate of a jazz player who used this for several years. It shows signs of wear and use, and while it has been tested out extensively by another jazz player, we cannot be certain that every combination of options have been tried and tested… a really great musical tool, but it is what it is!!! The only noted minor issue is that the Bb3 key is slightly bent to one side and occasionally sticks a little. I don’t expect that this is hard to adjust, but I am not a keyboard technician, and if I paid one the price might go too high.
