If you are looking at this you probably know more than I do on this keyboard’s amazing capabilities. Made in Japan.

“Vintage Casio CZ-1000 49 key synthesizer. Original owner, bought in 1986; everything works. Has a few lights scuffs/dings on the edges, otherwise, in great condition for its age. Comes with operation manual, synthesis handbook, and original AD-5U Casio adapter. Strap buttons are still functional if you want to be mobile on stage. Has a surprisingly good 8-stage envelope filter, uses phase distortion synthesis, seven different wave forms, has eight voice polyphony but most sounds double up and you are left with four note polyphony, four kinds of vibrato, single LFO, portamento, a setting to go monophonic for the Moog sounds, two oscillators, noise or ring modulation, midi in and out, a port for expansion ram cartridge, and headphone and line outputs.”

“Casio CZ-1 Synthesizer. Keyboard and pitch/mod wheels work and it generates sounds just fine, but the buttons at the top work some of the time (hard presses sometimes register). I had this connected to my computer via MIDI and did everything I needed remotely, so this was essentially an oversized sound module. Slider knobs for Chorus and Volume are missing, and there is a sticker covering melted plastic on the case.

“FOR PARTS OR REPAIR CZ101 Does not power on and someone had tried repairing it previously. A part is loosely soldered to the board (see picpicture). Body has some wear but pretty decent for its age. It is missing the battery door and the power button cap. Some posts were rattling inside so I put them in a bag which is included. Also included is a reprinted User Manual. Please look closely at the pics and feel free to ask questions. I have been as honest as I can and included as many details as I remember because I don’t want anyone to think it is a dirty battery spring or anything but it is hopefully repairable to someone out there with more skills and time than me as I cannot get to it before an upcoming medical procedure. Selling off a lot of projects for that reason. It is packed up and ready to go and I generally ship the day after you pay. “Casio CZ-101 Digital Synthesizer.Hello! We have had this synth in the family for a long time – my father bought this and used it for a short time in their wedding band years ago. It’s been mostly in storage. Although it has seem very limited used, there is one key which seems possibly broken (still works), as well as there are at least a few sticky buttons, and the input jack for the power adapter is finicky as to how you rotate it. I made a quick video in hopes of being transparent about the functionality. I am quite sure that some TLC on an older unit like this is entirely doable for someone who its worth it to. For us, we just don’t use this thing and would rather see it go somewhere better! Let me know if you have any questions – thank you!PS This includes the ram/card in the back, which I really don’t know much about but was always with the synth.”
