Sold AS-IS, shows some normal wear, was working fine, then when I was testing the buttons started to stick, now it’s stuck on the #1 sound program, and the parameters and other buttons are not accessible, pretty sure it just needs to be cleaned because everything was working great.

“Vintage 1980s Working Casio CZ-101 Synthesizer Keyboard.

The keyboard works well with some exceptions. The display still looks excellent and the protective plastic was never removed. After testing it, this is what didn’t work.

The number 6 and number 7 buttons as well as the select and internal button do not seem to work. Also the key follow buttons on both DCA 2 and DCA 1 do not seem to work. The ENV buttons on both DCW 1 and DCW 2 do not work as well.

I was not able to see any response from the master tune buttons but I could be doing something wrong.

Fully functional, but some of the pots & inputs could use a little cleaning and two of the slider knobs are missing (the sliders are still there though and function-see pics). I bought this baby from the original owner for a specific project over a decade ago and have hauled it from one apartment to another even though I don’t really play keyboard, It just sounds so nice and is really fun to noodle on. It deserves to be in the hands of someone who can unlock it’s true potential. Includes a photocopy of the manual and power cord. No cover or stand included. Has been stored in more or less climate-controlled, smoke free home studio. The CZ-1 is noted for exceptional, embracing phase distortion. Isn’t that almost exactly what you need more of in your life?”

An amazing synth that sounds wonderful. It has a really rich full sound that puts most soft synths to shame, especially with the chorus engaged which really opens up the sound.
